All in all, TDB gives punters a very, very, very wide space to comment in but we won’t bother with out right lies or gleeful malice. We leave that to the Herald comment section.

Appreciate that TDB keeps the Open Mic going—it’s one of the few online spaces left where people can freely exchange views without the heavy hand of over-moderation. It’s refreshing to see a clear stance against disinformation while still allowing a wide range of opinions. Looking forward to seeing what issues readers bring up today.
Does anyone else notice the greasy polite AI line almost the same as last time? Too much sugar weakens ya. And wariness not extreme niceness is needed for the leitmotif.
