All in all, TDB gives punters a very, very, very wide space to comment in but we won’t bother with out right lies or gleeful malice. We leave that to the Herald comment section.

Really appreciate that TDB still offers a genuine open mic space—those are getting rare these days. It’s refreshing to have a spot where free speech is encouraged without turning into a toxic mess. Keen to hear what others are thinking about the budget announcements this week—feels like there’s a lot flying under the radar.
