  1. Look I just made car and tractor sales people rich they are now on the trickle up gravy train till the banks foreclose on their stupid customers because they now have 200k more debt than last week ,all to get back 20%

  2. With a voice that causes permanent hearing damage, viewers had to resort to subtitles to follow what Willis was saying.

    • Mark Mitchell can hear and is amused! I think that the height of Martyn’s? thought was above their in-tellect.
Also it proves that they have made some impact on the otherwise impervious sourface of those representing the inner circle of the bible belt, er I mean the beehive beltway.

  3. Willis reads out the names of the three men behind her that have slept with her.

    • Nicola thinks ‘I learned about this trick from McCarthy shaking up the whole of the USA with a communist scare. Just a piece of paper with some names on it (that were out of date and wrong anyway) but who knows!!

Today we are engaged in a final, all-out battle between communistic atheism and Christianity. The modern champions of communism have selected this as the time. And, ladies and gentlemen, the chips are down—they are truly down.”
On February 9, 1950, the junior senator from Wisconsin thundered this warning in a Lincoln’s birthday address to the Women’s Republican Club of Wheeling, West Virginia.

Joseph R. McCarthy had come to the Senate three years earlier after unseating 22-year incumbent Robert La Follette, Jr., who had devoted more energies to passage of his landmark 1946 Legislative Reorganization Act than to that year’s Republican senatorial primary.
The Saturday Evening Post heralded McCarthy’s arrival with an article entitled, “The Senate’s Remarkable Upstart.” For the next three years, McCarthy searched for an issue that would substantiate his remarkableness. As one of his many biographers has observed, McCarthy’s initial years in the Senate were characterized by his impatient disregard of the body’s rules, customs, and procedures.
Another scholar noted the ease with which he rearranged the truth to serve his purposes. “Once he got going, logic and decorum gave way to threats, personal attacks, and multiple distortions.”
In the Wheeling speech, among the most significant in American political history, McCarthy’s recklessness finally merged with his search for a propelling issue. He explained that homegrown traitors were causing America to lose the cold war. “While I cannot take the time to name all the men in the State Department who have been named as members of the Communist Party and members of a spy ring,…

I have here in my hand a list of 205.” …

Until his Senate censure four years later, Joseph R. McCarthy would be that body’s most controversial member. In Robert C. Byrd’s assessment, “There was never quite anyone like McCarthy in the Senate, before or after; nor has this chamber ever gone through a more painful period.”

On December 2, 1954, the Senate voted to “condemn” McCarthy on both counts [Senate disfavour] by a vote of 67 to 22.

Note: McCarthy died in 1957 when he was only 48. Only a short number of years, but so toxic. He was addicted to alcohol, later morphine; threatened the Narcotic Agency head Anslinger when requested to cease.
In Anslinger’s memoir, The Murderers, McCarthy is anonymously quoted as saying:
I wouldn’t try to do anything about it, Commissioner … It will be the worse for you … and if it winds up in a public scandal and that should hurt this country, I wouldn’t care […] The choice is yours.,,

McCarthy’s claims stirred the [religious and conservative] public however. …He was given a state funeral that was attended by 70 senators, and a Solemn Pontifical Requiem Mass was celebrated before more than 100 priests and 2,000 others at Washington’s St. Matthew’s Cathedral. Thousands of people viewed his body in Washington. He was buried in St. Mary’s Parish Cemetery, Appleton, Wisconsin, where more than 17,000 people filed through St. Mary’s Church in order to pay him their last respects…

Later effects summed up – learn and watch out because many of our politicians are willing to try every trick in the book to thread their way around the rock of truth and practicality and citizen respect.
