Netanyahu is now flattening the whole of Gaza – don’t pretend this isn’t genocide

Let’s be very clear about what Netanyahu is about to start, the total flattening of everything above and below surface in Gaza – it is a total annihilation of everything…

Israel threatens to flatten Gaza

Israel’s Security Cabinet approved a plan last night to reoccupy and eventually flatten all of Gaza if a new hostage-and-ceasefire deal isn’t reached soon, Axios’ Barak Ravid reports.

    • The plan calls for demolishing any buildings left standing and displacing virtually the entire population of 2 million people to a single “humanitarian area.”

🗓️ The latest: The Security Cabinet is using President Trump’s visit to the Middle East next week as a deadline for a new deal.

    • Many Israeli officials see this operation as a nuclear option and would much prefer a deal in the next two weeks.
    • Trump isn’t playing an active role in efforts to reach a ceasefire, and has effectively given Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu a green light to do as he sees fit, Israeli officials say.

💡 The big picture: The return to full-fledged war would come after Israel already cut off all supplies of food, water and medicine to civilians in Gaza after the ceasefire broke down two months ago.

    • Netanyahu has rejected any proposal that ends the war entirely, pressing Hamas instead to sign a shorter-term agreement.

Israeli officials hope the threat of a large-scale invasion will press Hamas to accept a deal on Israel’s terms.

…this stopped being a legitimate response to October 7th a long time ago.

This is a disproportionate ethnic cleansing war crime that is a technical breach of genocide, and we have allowed it to happen because in the West we are terrified of displeasing Trump with any criticism and domestically Militant Zionist Apologists have excelled in attacking anyone who does criticise Israel’s genocidal ethnic cleansing war crime as anti-semitic.

We are figuratively drenched in the blood spray of this war crime and our silence condemns us.

We have to throw the Israeli Ambassador out while recognising a Palestinian Ambassador, anything less is complicity with their obscenity.

We are all responsible for this now.

Look at that map again dammit!

And what is Trump’s response?

Trump sent out an AI cartoon of Trump Gaza complete with insane gold statues, plush resorts and Musk walking around while money rains from the sky.

The narcissism required to spread this in the shadow of a quarter of a million dead Palestinians is so ghoulish, so bereft of morality, so evil in its banality, the song sounds like something the Hitler Youth would have sang:

‘Donald’s coming to set you free

bringing the life for all to see.

No more tunnels, no more fear,

Trump Gaza is finally here.

Trump Gaza shining bright,

golden future a brand new light.

Feast and dance the deal is done,

Trump Gaza number one.”

Jesus wept.

Our need in the West to gloss over Israel’s genocide and America’s enabling of that genocide has made us accomplices to horror.

It’s so sickening.

  1. ” We have to throw the Israeli Ambassador out while recognizing a Palestinian Ambassador, anything less is complicity with their obscenity ”

This country is dead and hollow from the inside.

Even when LINO was in office Hipkins refused to take any action.

The fact that we have stood silent with the exception of Minto’s protests means we are complicit in the extermination of a race of people including thousands of children.

The Ambassador for Israel is going no where and will be pleased Israel and its holocaust has a supportive friend in New Zealand.

The West Bank is next once Trump works out there are real-estate opportunities.

Then Israel can concentrate on taking territory from Lebanon and Syria and murdering civilians while we stand back and watch.

  2. Hamas started it, Israel is finishing it.
No more chance of anyone commiting the slaughter of Jews on their own soil.
Take the land, stop the chance of repeat attacks.
Don’t forget, Hamas issued a statement saying the attack would happen again and again.
(Before Israel killed most of them of course)

    • Ignoramus alright. Apparently you have no empathy, no compassion and you have absolutely no morality and no understanding of the history of the area.
Hamas has recruiting heavily and that is totally understandable.
      What is left for Palestinians.

    • You can always be relied upon, @ im right, to reveal the deep moron sitting at your controls. The word repugnant will haunt you.

    • Theres 94 documented killing of Palestinians before Oct 7…the last one was on the 6th Oct…so regular that israel referred to these murderous massacres; as simply ‘mowing the lawn’.. and one of them happened when your brother was conceiving you…with your mother…

    • ” No more chance of anyone committing the slaughter of Jews on their own soil. ”

But every chance of Israel occupying , starving and killing Palestinians in their own soil…or what is left that the Israelis haven’t stolen.

      • Why not have some compassion for both sides? You just can’t right? 7m Jews and 7m Palestinians in the area – most of them born in the region and both with legitimate ties to this land historically. Other than the mad death loving extremists on both sides that’s a lot of innocent people. Impossible for them to live together. Sooner we get back to a two state solution the better. Palestinians deserve their dignity. As do Israelis.

        • Both with legitimate ties to the land? Israel as a nation had a specific purpose which was fulfilled by AD 34. I don’t wish any harm to the Jewish people however almost 2 thousand years of Palestinian occupation makes their claim to the land of more value in my opinion. The current situation with Israel was caused by Zionist terrorists and guilt over the Holocaust which created a new state in 1948 that removed Palestinians from their land and murdered many as well (Nakba) so while in an ideal world both groups should have been able to coexist the Jewish government has consistently denied basic rights to the Palestinians which caused a violent reaction. Until Israel accepts it’s part in causing the problem and accepts that Palestinians have an equal right to live in what is called Israel now there will never be peace. The two state solution is a myth that keeps getting repeated but as anyone who has lived next to a angry neighbor knows it just doesn’t work out in the real world.

    • You talk absolute shite I’m Right. Hamas started what? Don’t give some Peters bullshit about October 7th. Do you actually have a clue?

    • What the fuck .Were you not around in 1967 when these shit Jews raided Palastine for more land .The ungreatful pricks had been given free land 20 years before but since have stolen more every year .They should never have been allowed to form an army of any sort which would have made them live in peace instead of killing innocent people for the last 50 years and steal the land .And what of the 6 million refugees living in other near by countries for the last 30 years in tent cities .
You are one of the growing number of disgusting NZ ers who belong in the river of filth .

  3. Yes, completely ignoring anything that happened earlier in this region’s history. Ignoramus!

  4. The lesson of the 18 months: the ‘ 45 outbreak of idealism has gone. The ’35 idealism has gone, obviously.

Conquest is now on the table.

Rogernomics here won’t allow us to declare the war Israel deserves. When we can accept a 100, 000 of the cunts in the North Shore like the white South Africans from their foul Apart-hood.

  5. The equating of “buildings destroyed in Gaza” with “genocide” is ludicrous. But the suffering must stop. Hostages must be returned. Hamas out. Netanyahu out. Simple. If only.

    • This is the first so-called war in history ( It’s a Ghetto liquidation), in which 80% of the country
      is destroyed.

The first war in which 100% of the population is displaced,
and the first in which children account for more than 50% of casualties.

And now that 95% of all buildings have been destroyed, Israel is finishing its genocidal operations by
bombing and burning people alive as they sleep and huddle together in flimsy tents.

…. and attacking aid ships,,,, the better to starve civilians.

  6. Just as Jim Bolger claimed that he was against sporting tours with the South African apartheid regime, after apartheToid ended.

One day everyone will have always been against this.

To which I would add; One day the Gaza genocide deniers will be as reviled and dispised as Holdocaust deniers are today.

We need to out the genocide deniers now.

The worst are every single one of the government MPs, in National, Act and New Zealand First. Cosely followed by the opposition Labour Party. The officially stated policy of the Labour party according Labour MP Phil Twyford Labour party leader Chris Hipkins is Genocide Denial

“Labour’s Damien O’Connor goes against party policy in calling Israel’s actions in Gaza ‘genocide’ “.

    https://www.rnz.co.nz/news/political/504190/labour-s-damien-o-connor-goes-against-party-policy-in-

…..While the Greens and Te Pāti Māori have been calling it genocide for weeks, O’Connor’s colleague Phil Twyford – whose amendment calling for a two-state solution was adopted – said his comments did not reflect Labour’s position.
…..In a statement Chris Hipkins said: “Damien O’Connor is incredibly passionate about this issue and that was evident during his contribution today. I respect the emotion and feeling he showed during the debate.
“However the Labour Party’s position remains that it is for the relevant international bodies to determine whether actions by Israel are within the constraints of international law.”

One Day, Everyone Will Have Always Been Against This
by Omar El Akkad review – a cathartic savaging of western hypocrisy over Gaza

The novelist and reporter delivers a passionate indictment of complacent liberal responses to Israel’s brutal campaign

…..“This is an account of a fracture,” he writes, “a breaking away from the notion that the polite, western liberal ever stood for anything at all.” It is a deft, broken-hearted, rhetorical savaging of comfortable people who say nothing (or pay lip service) but care only about preserving normality, convincing themselves that these things only happen “to certain places, to certain people”.

…..The ugliness El Akkad describes is real and seems inescapable, too. Much of it is the unspeakable stuff nobody admits to but is clear to anyone who reads or observes: that once we’re safe, our empathy is often performative; that it’s more expedient to be against evil after it’s over….

For today’s genocide deniers we need to make certain that there is no coming back from this. They need to be publicly outed, and called out now.

  7. Now the fuckers are starting on the west bank as Israel has bulldozers and diggers in there destroying Palastinian homes yesterday .What the fuck ? the world is sitting back watching .At the least there should be a raft of sanctions on Israel and the local embassy in Wellington should be closed and staff arrested and sent to the war crimes court .

    • Pragamatism vs. decency

      Liberal politics vs, principled politics.

In 1978 by an act of parliament New Zealand ratified and solemnly agreed to uphold and be legally bound to act to prevent and punish the crime of genocide.

      So why don’t we?

The very least the oppostion parties could do, is put a bill in the ballot to get the government to debate the issue.

      Proposed bill

That the parliament of New Zealand officially recognise that a genocide is being committed in Gaza against the indigenous Palestinian population.

The significance of such a bill, if it was passed, is that New Zealand would be bound to take action by international treaty and New Zealand law.

Article 1 of the Genocide Convention
      https://www.un.org/en/genocideprevention/documents/Genocide%20Convention-FactSheet-ENG.pdf
“….. the obligation to prevent genocide contained in Article I of
the Genocide Convention has an extraterritorial scope. As such, States that have the capacity to influence others have a duty to employ all means reasonably available to them to prevent genocide, including in relation to acts committed outside their own borders.”

Our Obligations under the genocide convention to employ all reasonable means avaiable to usl to prevent the crime genocide are clear.

On December 28, 1978. New Zealand officially agreed to be legally and contractually bound to act to prevent the crime of genocide, as defined by the International Convention on the prevention and punishment of the Crime of Genocide.

No doubt an opposition members bill calling on the government to recognise that genocide is being committed in Gaza will be voted down by the government parties. But at the very least we will have identified and outed the genocide deniers and this will be an albatross around their dirty necks for the rest of their miserable political careers.

Will the opposition parties take this simple proposed measuire?

Will any single MP dare to put a bill in the ballot calling on parliament to officially recognise genocide is being committed in Gaza?

If not, their lack of acton would mark the final victory of liberalism over principle in this country.

      And shame us all.

  8. Awwww look at all the terrorist huggers above, awww diddums.
You cannot deny the killing of 1200 and taking of hostages by Hamas would not result in this…they poked the bear!!

    • The internationally recognised definition of Genocide
      [the] “intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious group, as such”;
“Deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part”

      My definition of a fascist.

A fascist is someone who commits genocide

A fascist is someone who supports committing genocide,

A fascist is someone who makes apologies for committing genocide.

A fascist is a genocide or Holocaust denier.

Which one are you ‘Im right’?

      I await your reply

    • Maybe so. But just because Hamas poked the bear very deliberately that cannot justify any response? Of course Israel was going to respond but Netanyahu and his extreme right wingers have gone way too far for their own political gain. The Israelis and Gazans want them gone and want Hamas gone. Unfortunately Iran and all is sponsored misogynistic terrorist satellite groups are not the best envoys for the Palestinians. Human rights are a joke to them. Netanyahu and his mob are shockers too. We need to stand against all of them. Until we do one extreme or the other will see advantage in continuing. Like fighting children.

      • You hit the nail on the head Sammy….IRAN!
Stop Iran, stop the weapons/cash/support to Hezbollah, Hamas, Houthies.

Cut the head off, the body dies.

    • If Israel was just a bear one good person could remove it (1 Samuel 17:34-36) but Israel is a deadly killing machine with a leader using propaganda to fool people like you as he attempts to avoid the consequences of his many crimes. The 1200 killed on October 7 is only a rounding number compared to the tens of thousands of mostly innocent Palestinians killed by Israel troops and settlers before that date. Israel can’t even keep a cease fire that was negotiated in good faith so you have to be incredibly ignorant not to understand that Israel is the problem, blaming Iran is pointless also as it was the USA who is responsible for the current situation there since they removed a democratic government to put the Shah in place.

  9. Can’t but enjoy the idiots on here. They’re exercising their words. When an Israel supporter makes a case I will acknowledge it. Hasn’t happened in the last 18 months, but maybe the sewage pipe will produce gold one day. The Left and reason are the one tree.
