Merciless blitz on defenceless Gaza — growing numbers
of dead and injured
Victims 24 April – 25 April 2025:
84 killed — 168 wounded
Since dawn, Israeli air strikes and gunfire on homes, as well as medical and other facilities, resulted in the death of 84 residents and the wounding of 168. Civil Defence crews retrieved four more bodies from underneath bomb-damaged buildings, bringing the total number now killed in Gaza, since 7 October 2023, to at least 51,439, with the total wounded at least 117,416. The daily average number of men, women and children killed in Gaza since 7 October, 2023 is at least 90 and, that of those injured, is more than 207. A UN report states that, as of 14 January 2025, around 70% of those killed in Gaza were women and children.
West Bank
Palestinian Monitoring Group — Since midnight on 07 October 2023, Occupation forces have been imposing a complete closure around the whole of the West Bank, preventing people (even including permit-holders) from entering both Jerusalem City as well as Israel, other than for especially-negotiated exceptions. Permanent military checkpoints impose severe travel restrictions within the Occupied West Bank.
Israeli Army attack: Jerusalem – 17:00, Israeli Occupation forces, firing live ammunition, stormed and patrolled the town of Hizma.
Israeli Army attack – refugee camp: Jenin – Israeli forces continued to storm the city as well as the refugee camp.
Israeli Army attack – home invasions in refugee camps: Tulkarem – the Israeli Army continued storming the city as well as the Tulkarem and Nur Shams refugee camps in the city, firing live ammunition and raiding homes.
Israeli Army attack – 1 wounded: Tulkarem – 13:55-16:30, Israeli troops, storming the village of Kafr Sur, opened fire on and wounded a motorist, before taking him prisoner.
Israeli Army attack – 4 wounded (including 2 youngsters beaten and severely injured): Nablus – 11:40–13:30, the Israeli military stormed the Balata refugee camp, wounding four residents, Omar Muhammad Mustafa (aged 15), Baha Tayseer Salam, Muhammad Nader Hashash and Anas Nawaf Shaker Hashas. In addition, two teenagers, Musa Samir Badi Qaraan (aged 13) and 15-year-old Badi Jamal Badi Qaraan, were severely beaten and injured by Israeli troops during the storming.
Israeli Army attack on refugee camp: Bethlehem – 11:00, Israeli soldiers, firing live ammunition, stormed the Deheishe refugee camp.
Israeli Army attack – 3 wounded: Bethlehem – 20:25, Israeli Occupation forces raided the town of Idhna, wounding three residents, two of whom are: Muhammad Abdullah Aslimiya and Mahmoud Ziad Aslimiya.
Home invasion: Qalqiliya – 00:50–04:30, Israeli Occupation forces raided Jit village and searched a home.
Home invasion: Jericho – 22:00–00:15, Israeli forces raided the city and invaded a house.
Israeli police and settlers’ mosque violation: Jerusalem – 08:00, Israeli settlers, escorted by Occupation police, invaded the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound and molested worshippers.
Israeli Army vandalism: Ramallah – 11:35, Israeli Occupation forces bulldozed land, near the village of Jibiya.
Israeli Army land-grab: Ramallah – 13:30, Israeli forces issued a land-seizure order on agricultural land in Silwad, in preparation for building a new settlement road.
Israeli Army terrorism against youngsters: Ramallah – 19:05, the Israeli Army, in the Ein Bubin area near the village of Deir Birzeit, detained and terrorised, for a time, two youngsters: Aws Imad al-Tawil (aged 16) and 17-year-old Izz al-Din Hamdi Karaj.
Israeli Army population–control: Tubas – 11:00, the Israeli military took prisoner a man, Jaafar Rashid Ahmed Abdel Razek, when he reported, as ordered, for interrogation at Israeli Military Intelligence.
Israeli Army plunder and pastoral sabotage: Tubas – 12:40, Israeli soldiers seized a truck-load of animal feed, belonging to donor organisations in the Ahmar area of al-Farisiya.
Israeli Army land-grab – agricultural sabotage: Qalqiliya – 13:00, Israeli Occupation forces bulldozed an area of agricultural land, near the town of Azzun, for the completion of an Annexation Wall and the road to run beside it.
Occupation settler agricultural sabotage: Ramallah – 16:35, Occupation settlers invaded agricultural land, on the outskirts of Sinjil.
Occupation settler pastoral sabotage: Tubas – 11:30, Israeli settlers forced a farmer, Shamekh Daraghmeh, with his flock of sheep, off pasture land in the North Jordan Valley.
Occupation settler pastoral sabotage terror: Qalqiliya – 17:00–20:45, Israeli Occupation settlers, in the Wadi Qana area, seized and terrorised a farmer, Abdul Hadi Mahmoud Ali Khawli, as he was herding his cattle.
Occupation settler vandalism: Salfit – 19:20–23:00, Israeli settlers invaded the town of Kifl Haris and stoned two homes.
Occupation settler population–control: Jericho – Occupation settlers placed a Star of David statue in the al-Auja waterfall area, in order to take control of it.
Occupation settler vandalism: Hebron – 12:45, Israeli Occupation settlers vandalised property, in the village of Umm al-Khair.
