Announce protest actions, general chit chat or give your opinion on issues we haven’t covered for the day.

The Editor doesn’t moderate this blog,  3 volunteers do, they are very lenient to provide you a free speech space but if it’s just deranged abuse or putting words in bloggers mouths to have a pointless argument, we don’t bother publishing.

All in all, TDB gives punters a very, very, very wide space to comment in but we won’t bother with out right lies or gleeful malice. We leave that to the Herald comment section.

EDITORS NOTE: – By the way, here’s a list of shit that will get your comment dumped. Sexist abuse, homophobic abuse, racist abuse, anti-muslim abuse, transphobic abuse, Chemtrails, 9/11 truthers, Qanon lunacy, climate deniers, anti-fluoride fanatics, anti-vaxxer lunatics, 5G conspiracy theories, the virus is a bioweapon, some weird Bullshit about the UN taking over the world  and ANYONE that links to fucking infowar.

  1. Note this sentence which can be applied to just about everything that has been carried out by authorities and large entities in NZAO since 1984, and likely to lead to a similar outcome!!

“It’s pretty farcical, but it’s hardly a surprise that this is where things have ended up,” [a knowledgable NZ] source says of the abandoned site. “To me, the whole thing seemed a bit misguided from the start.”

A $2.3 million white elephant: The curious case of Canoe Racing NZ’s deserted high performance centre
    Dana Johannsen, Sports Correspondent

In 2018, Canoe Racing NZ opened the doors to a $2.3 million purpose-built high performance centre on the shore of Lake Karāpiro. Seven years on, it sits empty.
High above the silty shore of Lake Karāpiro, Canoe Racing NZ’s high performance centre looms desolate and lifeless.
The carpark, but for a lone, empty boat trailer, is deserted. The grounds are still.
The building itself, a sprawling 550 square-metre monument to unadorned functionality, is locked up.
Through bird-poo streaked windows there are chairs stacked high in the corner of the lounge, and an empty gym where motivational posters shout into a void.

  2. Watch out for this:
    https://www.rnz.co.nz/news/what-you-need-to-know/544179/gene-technology-changes-what-you-need-to-know
Now, these technologies are being applied in areas such as medicine, agriculture, biotechnology and pest control. As well as new opportunities, they raise profound ethical questions.
Most experts agree new legislation is needed. But some say the Gene Technology Bill ignores proven benefits of incorporating Māori principles and values…

With our ‘ability’ to think our way to Frankenstein developments well I just don’t trust the new religion of money first mixed with freedom of thought and speech mixed with single-minded drive to develop science in new directions that seem to know no limits and no control from religion either traditional or the replacement prosperity-religion businesses and charities..

  3. https://www.rnz.co.nz/news/national/545097/a-pretty-special-place-adventure-to-elusive-pole-of-inaccessibility
How great – what an adventure! But it can be replicated without all that travel and cost of climbing boots and beacons in case of getting lost or bad weather, that can be done just by sitting at the computer and learning and communicating on the condition of our nation and our present positions as servile citizens.

To find our way through the barren lands that face us is harder than Everest. After all that has become so well mapped out that ‘they’ queue at the ultimate height of the world, the closest to space we can go on two feet. But to conquer the challenges of our minds – now that is a rare if not impossible achievement. Can someone from the elite do so, a lesser person could be sidelined?
