That interview was totally unhinged!

I have NEVER seen anything as crazy as that ever, Trump and his Toady Vance attacking Zelensky in the way they did with Zelensky refusing to allow their lies to stand highlights all that is wrong with Trump and his fascist administration.

This is disgraceful from the Trump administration and gives us insight into how Trump actually works.

Zelensky managed to show more class and courage under friendly fire than Trump has.

Putin will be so ecstatic.

      • Trump: I talked to Zelenski and told him that I could stop the Ukraine war that he started, in just 24 hours, and all he has to do to obtain peace is to surrender to Russia, but the ungrateful guy didn’t want to listen to me, and said he wanted to talk Elon, the real president. Zelenski should know, that I will always take the side of those who possess my Kgb pee pee tape.

        I’ve also contacted Taiwan, and told them that if they don’t stop provoking China, then if China invades, Taiwan will have started that war, and therefore just like I’ve taken Putin’s side, I will also have to take Zhi’s side.

        The Whitehouse has also started selling rare mineral mining concessions in Ukraine, and parcels of land in Gaza, at greatly marked down prices due to unexploded ordinance, as is where is. My next Executive Order, will relocate any Gazan’s to Greenland. Trump out.

  2. The most disgusting position Trump and Vance placed the USA in. This day will live in infamy. USA projection of power is 100% over. Europe will galvanise behind Ukraine. Trump now has no negotating power at all with Putin.

    I think Ukraine said to the mineral deal, all good but only when Russia is back behind the 2014 borders. Trump saw his “deal” go floundering and came to be in the default bully mode.

    Sad day for the USA. Long live Europe, long live Ukraine. Pox on the USA and Russia, China the winner.

    • Well according to Putin, Poland did start it.

      That’s his only way of justifying the fact that Russian invaded it shortly after Germany did. That fact is a little uncomfortable to remember. You know – Russia working with the Nazis.

      • So what does that actually mean apart revealing to the world you are condescending. Most people know history is complicated, that doesn’t justify Putins invasion. At one point his idea of liberating Ukrainians was killing them.

    • No, I don’t think the Poles started WWII. However, in the Ukrainian situation, the ball seems to be in Zelenskyy’s court. It is Zelenskyy who seems reluctant to agree to a peace deal. As Trump pointed out Zelenskyy seems to prefer more fruitless death and destruction in Ukraine.

      • Trumps idea is give Ukraine to the Russians in exchange for cheap minerals. I love the way you think the majority of Ukrainians should just smile and accept it.

        • No. Trump’s idea seems to be be that a peaced deal should be reached. The terms of that deal would have to be thrashed out between Putin and Zelenskyy.

          • I don’t think it will be Putin who declines a peace deal; it will be that “fucking idiot” Zelenskyy. The latter wants to grab a chunk of Russian territory – Crimea, Donbas and sothern Ukraine.

        • Isn’t that still preferable to endless supply dead of bodies (let alone escalation to nukes)? Sometimes you have to take the only offer on the table as opposed to doubling down at your expense. The idea that Ukraine is in a position to barter for a better deal is laughable. I predict he’ll be back with his tail between his legs in the coming months. Unfortunately after many more thousand deaths of course.

            There was a cease-fire after the initial ‘little green men’ crossed the border in 2014, no, there were at least a couple dozen of them. None of them lasted a month, and then the Russians went ahead and began a full-scale invasion in 2022.

            So as Zelensky asked, Russia has broken the agreements before, why will this be any different?

            Your comparison is a patently false one, they’re not saying we should hold out for a better deal, their position is to not capitulate — which is what Trump is asking of them.

            Trump’s diplomacy on this matter has been farcically inept.

            Let’s not forget that he boasted how he’d end the war before the inauguration.

            And having given this attention of late his position has been to open a new effort at negotiations by acceding to all Russia’s demands, and their narrative of how the wider war started, just fucking delusional nonsense, completely unmoored from reality outside of Russian state media.

            So yes, Ukraine has fought for 3 years to avoid total capitulation that Putin (and Trump now) demand, it is an offer so bad that it is worth fighting an even hopeless fight to avoid.

      • Do you seriously think Putin will accept a peace deal on Ukrainian terms, he wants all the old Soviet Union countries back in the fold to make Russia great again. Remember the US only went into the second world war when Pearl Harbor was bombed so the US is really only a fair weather friend Trump is acting all high and mighty with peace at any price for Ukraine only on Putin’s and Trumps terms. Putin must be wondering how thick Tump et.al really are they are both threatening Ukraine and Zelenskyy is in their way and now much too popular powerful and playing the warlords at their own game.

  7. I tend to agree with the head of the UK Economist when he described Trump as a Russian Asset, rather than a Russian Agent. An agent is one who knows and accepts it is acting on behalf of a foreign power. An asset is one who is ignorant of that fact. An agent uses others, but an asset is used by others. Trump always was and currently is a Russian tool, a wind-up doll that is wound up and pointed in the right direction and left to cause havoc. His first term proved this, but his second term will find much more resistance, both at home and abroad.

The horrendous facet of humanity if one can call it that when it comes to Trump and Vance is that the need to have power over others that results in people and nations becoming bullied into submission. Those Two are Power Obsessed even when it means firing people and resorting to Bullying on a Daily basis. It is in fact shocking to look at because it seems History is Again Repeating Itself.
    I think Trump is mentally unstable if not hinging into the realms of advanced insanity and Vance is just behaving like his boss because he is too scared to stand up to Trump and say “Enough is Enough”.

    Thanks to these two America has demeaned itself in the eyes of the rest of the world.
    I bet Putin is so pleased that Trump is such a supporter of him and would do anything to please his Master(Putin) no matter which country falls by the wayside.

  12. Donald Trump is a different kind of politician. He uses spectacle. He makes himself a spectacle. It is all deliberate. He doesn’t do decorum. I don’t think he is mad. He just sees that the public regards regular diplomacy as fake – which it is. So he gives them real. Bar room stuff.
    Whether he just found out, or has always known that the Ukraine did not have $500bn of rare earths to give him, he had no deal and therefore had to find a way out with Zelensky sitting there in the Oval Office. So he throws a paddy. Deal off. What comes next? Who knows. Except that Luxon, Peters and Seymour will continue to support Trump until there is a successful coup against Trump in the White House. Then they will support whoever leads the coup.

    • Yep, Trump has a personality disorder and an irrational style but even disordered personalities can sometimes tell the truth, or something approximating to it. The Ukraine war would not have started if the US had not needed Ukraine to keep the pressure on Russia. The war has been tragic for the peoples of Ukraine and Russia, and if Zelensky knew anything about the way that the US conducts its foreign policy he would have ruled out joining NATO, would have allowed the people of Donetsk to decide their own future, and would have given ethnic Russian Ukrainian citizens a secure place in society. Instead he deluded himself into thinking that an alliance with the US would work to his and his country’s advantage.

  16. Fox has some good angles to give on this (yes, I know)- the “discussion” should never have been live it should have been behind closed doors but three very stubborn people, already cranky after just failing to sign the minerals deal, kicked off quickly.
    Trump wants to be the guy that made the deal.
    Zelensky is fighting for his country, also clumsily conversing in a non native language.
    Extraordinary stuff.

  20. Let’s look at where Zelensky went wrong and how Keir Starmer got it right.
    Starmer walks in and pulls out of his jacket an envelope containing an invitation from King Charles, which he proudly gives to President Trump. He is like a little boy giving Dad an interesting stone which he picked up on the way home from school. And Trump receives it graciously. Nothing to do with his supposed affection for royalty. It is the sheer childishness of Starmer’s action that appeals to Trump. Starmer is a boy who knows his place.
    Then Zelensky walks in. The petulant child who is demanding stuff of his Dad. Trying to wheedle, cajole and negotiate. Offering in exchange for the desired largess stuff that Dad knows he does not really have. Dad goes ballistic. Zelensky is a child who needs to be shown his place.
    Of course Trump knows that in his dealings with Starmer and Zelensky he is setting the standard to be followed by all the leaders of America’s vassal states when the time comes for them to make their pilgrimage to Washington.
    Luxon and Albanese have been warned. They must be well behaved and respectful children. I am sure that both have it in them to do that much.

      • I will take that as a compliment from TDB. For clarification: It might have seemed that I was criticising Mr Zelenksy here. Well, he is certainly not above criticism, but my real point was about the way Donald Trump perceives the world (Zelensky as a naughty child) and the way he behaves (with contempt). Moreover, it is not just about Trump. There is a consistency to the way in which the US has treated its friends, allies and enemies with an equal measure of contempt unless they have the power to resist US ambitions. Along with this consistent element of US foreign policy there is a trend evident towards an increasingly brazen and crude implementation of the policy, culminating in Donald Trump.

    Mussolini was a mass murdering fascist hated by his own people who was captured trying to escape Italy with the help of the retreating German forces, and was hung from a lamppost .
    Assad was a mass murdering fascist, hated by his own people who managed to escape Syria with the help of the retreating Russian forces, and is still alive.
    Japan tried to build its co-prosperity sphere in the Pacific region
    China is trying to build its co-prosperity sphere in the Pacific region.

    Wars between those old rival empires was inevitable.

    War between these modern rival empires is also inevitable.

    Best we can do is stay out of it.
