Announce protest actions, general chit chat or give your opinion on issues we haven’t covered for the day.

The Editor doesn’t moderate this blog,  3 volunteers do, they are very lenient to provide you a free speech space but if it’s just deranged abuse or putting words in bloggers mouths to have a pointless argument, we don’t bother publishing.

All in all, TDB gives punters a very, very, very wide space to comment in but we won’t bother with out right lies or gleeful malice. We leave that to the Herald comment section.

EDITORS NOTE: – By the way, here’s a list of shit that will get your comment dumped. Sexist abuse, homophobic abuse, racist abuse, anti-muslim abuse, transphobic abuse, Chemtrails, 9/11 truthers, Qanon lunacy, climate deniers, anti-fluoride fanatics, anti-vaxxer lunatics, 5G conspiracy theories, the virus is a bioweapon, some weird Bullshit about the UN taking over the world  and ANYONE that links to fucking infowar.

    From the NBC:

    Sunday, Feb. 23, 2025.

…..the defense minister said troops will remain in parts of the territory for a year and tens of thousands of Palestinians who have fled cannot return.
…..“We will not allow the return of residents, and we will not allow terrorism to return and grow,”
Earlier, Katz said he had instructed the military to prepare for “an extended stay” in some of the West Bank’s urban refugee camps from which about 40,000 Palestinians have fled, leaving them “emptied of residents.”

  2. I really appreciate how TDB manages to create an environment that encourages free speech, while also keeping the conversation productive. Drawing the line at lies or malicious comments is a smart way to maintain integrity without stifling honest opinions.

We have had this argument before. Is this Ground Hog Day in NZ???????????????

Get these stupid pollies out of here. We can’t stand being rorted for another however long till the next useless election. Do not issue lots of pills to people who need pills, because they have problems already or are sick, and have enough to think about besides keeping track of stacks of these useful and potent horse remedies! It’s bad enough with a few but some of the oldies have artificially extended lives; because they aren’t allowed by law when to choose their own demise time with a smile and a tear as well, may be taking 11 a day.

Get the government out of our pockets and our lives. I’m sick of them grabbing 15% with every movement I make and I have to make so many because they have made life so difficult – everything takes three times as many checks and calls to get info and organise.

  5. Is this wise? Would this keep our important infrastructure in our own hands and it must be held with controls over the shares so that no-one can sell their bit out of NZ ownership to remain in NZ and returns to be uncontrolled by python-gobblers.
    https://www.rnz.co.nz/news/business/542913/consortium-looks-to-take-control-of-northport
A consortium of the Port of Tauranga, Northland Regional Council, and Ngāpuhi investment body, Tupu Tonu, is proposing to buy out minority shareholders in Marsden Maritime Holdings and delist the company from the stock exchange.

Marsden Maritime and the Port of Tauranga each own 50 percent of Northport, but the latter would sell its stake to the privatised Marsden thus bringing ownership of Northport under one structure
