Gaza Strip
Israel’s ceasefire violations in Gaza continue — yet silence still prevails over growing numbers of deaths and injuries:
Victims 15–16 February 2025:
Israeli Occupation forces‘ continued positioning on the northern and eastern outskirts of the Gaza Strip opened fire on and killed one returning Palestinian and wounded 5 others. Civil Defence crews retrieved the bodies of a further 6 people from under bomb-damaged buildings, bringing the the total number, now killed in Gaza since 7 October 2023, to at least 48,271. The total wounded is now at least 111,693. The daily average number of men, women and children killed in Gaza is at least 96 and, that of those injured, is more than 224.
West Bank
Palestinian Monitoring Group — Since midnight on 07 October 2023, Occupation forces have been imposing a complete closure around the whole of the West Bank, preventing people (even including permit-holders) from entering both Jerusalem City as well as Israel, other than for especially-negotiated exceptions. Permanent military checkpoints impose severe travel restrictions within the Occupied West Bank.
Israeli Occupation settler attack on homes: Ramallah – evening, armed Israeli Occupation settlers opened fire indiscriminately towards homes, on the outskirts of Umm Safa village.
Israeli Army attack on homes – 1 wounded: Jenin – Israeli forces continued to storm the city as well as the refugee camp, shooting and wounding a resident, Adam Mahmoud Faris Al-Daqam,while searching homes.
Israeli Army attack on homes residents forced to evacuate – 1 person beaten–up: Tulkarem – Israeli Occupation forces continued their storming of the Tulkarem and Nour Shams refugee camps, invading homes and severely beating a resident, Abed Issa Abed, in the Tulkarem refugee camp. Two people were taken prisoner and many more families, in both camps, were forced at gunpoint to evacuate their homes. The Thabet Thabet Hospital remains under siege.
Israeli Army attack on home – 1 child wounded: Nablus – 11:10-16:25, Israeli troops, firing live ammunition, raided Tal village, wounding a child while invading a home. Israeli soldiers also seized surveillance-camera recordings from local shops.
Israeli Army attack: Nablus – 15:55, the Israeli military, firing live ammunition, stormed the village of Jalloud.
Israeli Army attack – 1 wounded – 6 taken prisoner: Hebron – 21:10–22:30, Israeli soldiers, firing live ammunition, stormed the town of Yatta, wounding one resident, Hussein Mustafa Mahmoud Abu Rajab, and taking prisoner six others.
Home invasion and forced personal demolition: Jerusalem – the Israeli Occupation forced a resident, Hani Awida, to destroy his home in the Silwan neighbourhood – or otherwise be forced to pay an extortionate sum to the Israeli Occupation demolition squads, who would be sent in to do it.
Home invasions: Jenin – dawn, the Israeli Army raided Yamun and invaded a number of houses.
Home invasions: Qalqiliya – 12:10, Israeli troops raided Azzun and invaded a number of homes.
Home invasion: Nablus – 19:05–00:10, the Israeli military raided the village of Sebastia and invaded a house.
Home invasions: Salfit – 19:30–23:05, Israeli soldiers raided the city and invaded homes.
Home invasions – settler arson attack: Bethlehem – evening, Occupation settlers set fire to two tent-dwellings, near the village of al-Minya, home to the Al-Shalaldeh and Al-Tarwa families.
Israeli Army assault with stun grenades: Jerusalem – 11:40, Israeli Occupation forces fired stun grenades towards people, in the village of al-Issawiya.
Israeli Army assault with stun grenades: Jerusalem – 19:00, Israeli forces again fired stun grenades, in the village of al-Issawiya.
Israeli Army – armed robbery: Ramallah – 15:45, in the area between Turmusaya and the village of al-Mughayi, the Israeli Army terrorised and robbed two people, Samed Abdel Razek and Muhammad Abdel Razek, of their vehicle and mobile phones.
Occupation settler violence – agricultural sabotage: Jerusalem – 12:30, Israeli Occupation settlers assaulted and injured a farmer, Zein Abu Ali, as he worked on his land near the village of Mikhmas.
Occupation settler vandalism: Ramallah – 03:00, Israeli settlers smashed the window of a truck being driven by Abdul Bajis al-Faqih, near the Ayoun al-Haramiya junction on the main Ramallah to Nablus road.
Occupation settler violence and Israeli Army complicity: Ramallah – 11:30, while Israeli settlers were assaulting people, in the al-Faw area of the North Jordan Valley, Occupation forces intervened in support of the settlers, taking prisoner two people: Wahid Yasser Younis Abu Aram and his brother, Shamakh.
Occupation settler violence – severe injuries: Bethlehem – 18:55, Israeli Occupation settlers stoned and shattered the window of a rubbish truck, near the village of al-Minya, injuring Issa Abu Ahour Issa Abu Ahour in the eyes with with flying glass shards.
Raid – population–control: Jerusalem – 15:00, Israeli Occupation forces raided the town of Abu Dis and ordered a resident, Atta Mahmoud Jaffal, to report for interrogation at Israeli Military Intelligence. Following the interrogation, he was taken prisoner.
Raid: Ramallah – 11:30, Israeli forces, firing stun grenades, raided and patrolled the town of Beitunya.
Raid – 1 taken prisoner: Ramallah – 12:40, the Israeli Army raided the village of Jifna, taking prisoner one person.
Raid: Ramallah – 12:55, Israeli troops raided and patrolled the town of Silwad.
Raid: Ramallah – 13:55, the Israeli military raided al-Bireh.
Raids – stun grenades fired: Ramallah – 18:00-19:20, Israeli soldiers, firing stun grenades, raided the village of Deir Jarir.
