    This sounds as if it might have some use to ordinary humans, or not.
    …Studying low Earth orbit with Space Rider
    The European Space Agency, or ESA, plans to conduct an orbital test flight of its Space Rider uncrewed spaceplane in the third quarter of 2025. Space Rider is a reusable spacecraft designed to carry out various scientific experiments in low Earth orbit.

    These scientific experiments will include research in microgravity, which is the near-weightless environment of space. Scientists will study how plants grow, how materials behave and how biological processes occur without the influence of gravity.
    Space Rider will also demonstrate new technologies for future missions. For example, it will test advanced telecommunication systems, which are crucial for maintaining communication with spacecraft over long distances. It will also test new robotic exploration tools for use on future missions to the Moon or Mars.

Mechanical things don’t need food so no need to trouble about other people on OUR planet who are great in their own way, but it’s not part of the grand space (hole-in-the-head) plan.

    Here we party our brains addled and dazzled with tech and our cleverness. But it’s not ours at all – we are just sun-struck, star-struck – space struck. So we can get there- but what for.     Relatively meaningless don’t you think. This taking the public’s pulse routine is
    not hard science! And it is a profit-making business. No-one in power really cares about what we think or need.

When science can be spent on dealing with plastics, coping and detoxifying aluminium waste it will be serving us not the US.

    How smug and patronising these people are. This is something I am sick of – it’s the whining and complaining. Of churches like the Salvation Army and charities who complain about the dumping of unwanted stuff outside their premises which often they have to cart away at their own expense. But hey, it comes out of money spent in your charitable helpful store which is supposed to be helping the poor and downtrodden, not badmouthing them in their struggles to cope with everything!

    It is a need that you are meeting. Don’t you realise the difficulties that poor people are immersed in, are stuck in with being limited them in every way. Government charging them with debt instead of providing sufficiency and helping them to look after family and to get to work for a few hours to fit in with family duties and letting them keep most of the money they earn instead of deducting it from their benefits.
