Announce protest actions, general chit chat or give your opinion on issues we haven’t covered for the day.

The Editor doesn’t moderate this blog,  3 volunteers do, they are very lenient to provide you a free speech space but if it’s just deranged abuse or putting words in bloggers mouths to have a pointless argument, we don’t bother publishing.

All in all, TDB gives punters a very, very, very wide space to comment in but we won’t bother with out right lies or gleeful malice. We leave that to the Herald comment section.

EDITORS NOTE: – By the way, here’s a list of shit that will get your comment dumped. Sexist abuse, homophobic abuse, racist abuse, anti-muslim abuse, transphobic abuse, Chemtrails, 9/11 truthers, Qanon lunacy, climate deniers, anti-fluoride fanatics, anti-vaxxer lunatics, 5G conspiracy theories, the virus is a bioweapon, some weird Blshit about the UN taking over the world  and ANYONE that links to fucking infowar.

  1. Now see here you leftist oincks!
This is really going too far!
It is impossible that any of the ten CEOs be convicted of murder.
For a start they, personally, have not killed people. Admittedly people have died as a result of their actions(in the form of policy). Two points to this:
Firstly: them as died were already ill or injured so really just thinning out population One has to admit they took people’s money before letting them die but government does that everyday. We work, pay tax, die.
These people just hastened it on a bit.
Secondly they do not have any blood on their hands because they got other people to act for them in denying people the help they needed to prolong their lives. Not personally responsible y’see.
Now, it is true that they could be held be responsible and judged. Been done before, Nuremburg Tribunal, Tokyo trial of war criminals. Death penalties on people like Tojo for what they directed and allowed, rather than what they did in person.
Well governments need to organise that and with the world governments run by pussy grabbing dictators, ‘sorted’ richbaldies, tiger riding KGB war mongers, paranoid Asian despots and Latin American robber barons there is precious little hope of that happening.
Now another thing, all of the CEOs are rich and white and two of them are women.
Now come on! The main reason this Brian Thompson feller made headlines is because a rich white man with a good Anglo Saxon name is shot by some dashingly good looking feller with a romantic Italian name.
Blacks get shot dead by police, whites and other blacks all the time and nobody gives the north end of a south bound plump rodent.
American juries have shown they rarely convict rich, white people. On the amazingly few times they do a wet bus ticket is applied to their wrists. One only has to observe the antics of Guliana and Trump when non-wealthy felons would have had accidents on the slippery back entrance to the courthouse.
Anyhow had my rant. Fat lot of good it did( I suspect). You lefties will continue to believe that nothing will change until impassioned crowds of workers seize the means of production and storm the bastions of the rich and powerful( and what a pack of bastions they are!).
You will have to mobilise people and get them away from their internet devices and funny pet videos first.
Also you will have to clearly explain to them Marxism and socialism does not automatically mean gulags and famine, just a fairer distribution of wealth and a welfare state. given the attention spans of Kiwis when not watching sport an uphill task.
    good luck with that!
    Curmudgeonly yours

  2. Of interest to all no doubt but particularly to those close to programming and big tech projects. I wonder if this sort of thing has effect on our ordering ferries or whether we just were not ordering from who was dominant in filling our window of opportunity frame. Makes
me wonder whether we should stick to the straightforward (relatively) systems that we have had in big ships in the mid 20th century. (More pistons and less piss-taking.)

This is to do with trains and Poland I think.

It’s fascinating listening. Very admirable people with possibly more go in them than we sheeple.

(Digital rights management (DRM) is the use of technology to control access to copyrighted material. It also enables copyright holders and content creators to manage what users can do with their content, such as how many devices they can access media on and whether they can share it.

  3. WTF – what stupid leagues table is this?
    https://www.rnz.co.nz/news/national/538564/new-zealand-s-passport-rises-back-up-world-rankings
The Henley Passport Index, organised by a consulting firm that describes itself as “the global leader in residence and citizenship by investment,” releases the list based on global travel freedoms using data from the International Air Transport Association.

New Zealand is tied with several other nations in fifth place, including the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Portugal and Belgium.
The ranking is the highest for New Zealand since 2017. It peaked at No. 4 in 2015 but dipped as low as 8th in 2018 and 2019.

Holders of NZ passports can get visa-free access to 190 out of 227 destinations worldwide, according to the index.
Singapore tops the list for the second year in the row. It has been first or second on the list for the last eight years.
