The Editor doesn’t moderate this blog, 3 volunteers do, they are very lenient to provide you a free speech space but if it’s just deranged abuse or putting words in bloggers mouths to have a pointless argument, we don’t bother publishing.
All in all, TDB gives punters a very, very, very wide space to comment in but we won’t bother with out right lies or gleeful malice. We leave that to the Herald comment section.
EDITORS NOTE: – By the way, here’s a list of shit that will get your comment dumped. Sexist abuse, homophobic abuse, racist abuse, anti-muslim abuse, transphobic abuse, Chemtrails, 9/11 truthers, Qanon lunacy, climate deniers, anti-fluoride fanatics, anti-vaxxer lunatics, 5G conspiracy theories, the virus is a bioweapon, some weird bullshit about the UN taking over the world and ANYONE that links to fucking infowar.

Some philosophy following on from musings re The Trolley Problem referred to in the caption comment.
And – Derek Antony Parfit FBA (/ˈpɑːrfɪt/; 11 December 1942 – 2 January 2017[3][4]) was a British philosopher who specialised in personal identity, rationality, and ethics.
He is widely considered one of the most important and influential moral philosophers of the late 20th and early 21st centuries…
…His first book, Reasons and Persons (1984), has been described as the most significant work of moral philosophy since the 1800s.[6][7] His second book, On What Matters (2011), was widely circulated and discussed for many years before its publication.
For his entire academic career, Parfit worked at Oxford University, where he was an Emeritus Senior Research Fellow at All Souls College at the time of his death. He was also a visiting professor of philosophy at Harvard University, New York University, and Rutgers University. He was awarded the 2014 Rolf Schock Prize “for his groundbreaking contributions concerning personal identity, regard for future generations, and analysis of the structure of moral theories.”…

So what notice did we take of his strivings of intellect??? Are universities set up and maintained by the ‘superior and monetised’ who have advanced in our society; to throw us others off track so we don’t realise that they are just a feint confusing us from their acquisitive and punitive instincts that expand to Mr Creosote circumference in some as their prestige and money grows; within the mercantile sector mainly, of course.

Pike River: 14 Years On And Far Too Many Of Us Are Being Injured At Work
Scholarships study, ways of increasing the hoops that people who actually do something physical have to jump through, while ACC announces it is short of money and acts like a corpse (shut down a large commercial buildings entity in Nelson recently – because not making enough return from its invested money).
