Announce protest actions, general chit chat or give your opinion on issues we haven’t covered for the day.

The Editor doesn’t moderate this blog,  3 volunteers do, they are very lenient to provide you a free speech space but if it’s just deranged abuse or putting words in bloggers mouths to have a pointless argument, we don’t bother publishing.

All in all, TDB gives punters a very, very, very wide space to comment in but we won’t bother with out right lies or gleeful malice. We leave that to the Herald comment section.

EDITORS NOTE: – By the way, here’s a list of shit that will get your comment dumped. Sexist abuse, homophobic abuse, racist abuse, anti-muslim abuse, transphobic abuse, Chemtrails, 9/11 truthers, Qanon lunacy, climate deniers, anti-fluoride fanatics, anti-vaxxer lunatics, 5G conspiracy theories, the virus is a bioweapon, some weird bullshit about the UN taking over the world  and ANYONE that links to fucking infowar.

Spending up big around NZ! Millions of debt being added while the country is still in austerity, which only differs by degrees, and we will never come out of it as the climate change is like the act of a Taliban that is becoming like Caliban to us. The government is rotten and local government is caught in a genuflecting stance based on idealistic theoretical university training and a cringe effect cured by adopting fancy overseas style format.

Well boohoo – just organise yourself if you can afford it, to go and see someone, go to some event. But you may like to put effort into agitating against the slothful government looking after their own No.1. If that is something you don’t care to do perhaps you are in line for some emptiness to match your similar attitudes of the past. And look at what’s happened to us all and yourselves, the retired: https://www.rnz.co.nz/news/national/526857/crunching-the-numbers-over-65s-spending-almost-all-of-pension-on-sky-high-rent

You might do something for someone, play. listen music, read and discuss, petanque, knit for a cause. You have had your life and either put a lot into the ommunity and know its needs, or you have spoiled family and now they don’t call much, or you have ignored the world. It’s available far more to you now you aren’t doing anything much than it was when you were young. If a mother, society isn’t very helpful now at all; while you tried to look after family and build steady, talented citizens who were good-hearted. Now is your chance to help others and make sure you get fun too.

So many elderly at hospital clinics sitting grey dried-up silent. At the least they could be swopping stories about their ailments and helpful panaceas. I’ve told here the simple trick to rid my elbow gout attacks – swallows of clean warm water up to 500ml – more than 2 cups, works but takes about 30 minutes. (Not passed by the finicky self-help watchers!)
