Announce protest actions, general chit chat or give your opinion on issues we haven’t covered for the day.

The Editor doesn’t moderate this blog,  3 volunteers do, they are very lenient to provide you a free speech space but if it’s just deranged abuse or putting words in bloggers mouths to have a pointless argument, we don’t bother publishing.

All in all, TDB gives punters a very, very, very wide space to comment in but we won’t bother with out right lies or gleeful malice. We leave that to the Herald comment section.

EDITORS NOTE: – By the way, here’s a list of shit that will get your comment dumped. Sexist abuse, homophobic abuse, racist abuse, anti-muslim abuse, transphobic abuse, Chemtrails, 9/11 truthers, Qanon lunacy, climate deniers, anti-fluoride fanatics, anti-vaxxer lunatics, 5G conspiracy theories, the virus is a bioweapon, some weird bullshit about the UN taking over the world  and ANYONE that links to fucking infowar.

  1. Elon Musk says “we’re going to get the government off your back and out of your pocketbook.”

Which is likely to result in opening the door for more privatisation. Putting more of the (largely unaccountable to voters) private sector on your (US voters) back and in your (US voters) pocket.

More corporate power and more user pays – and the idiots were cheering for it.

    • Elon Musk says “we’re going to get the government off your back and out of your pocketbook.”

To free up govt money for a ‘hand-up not a hand-out’ for his Mars project.

  2. Hypocrisy is rife with see more threatening action with our Maori kids attending the Hikoi but not the kids at the Americas cup or those living at the Glorivale commune exposed to abuse.

The image could be titled -Stairway to Heaven’.
The amount owing is quite small in total though hard on the particular customers involved.

Builders take on a big task if they are lone, even if coming under a larger group. Even ones who have been in business for a while successfully will find that today’s commercial environment as presided over by hands-off gummint with private capital-accreting agendas, is hard.

We are business friendly it is said, but it’s like the wolf smiling in Little Red Riding Hood with an ulterior motive. Make sure you are wearing the right hood or be marked as unworthy!

Going for 100 years or not – history is bunk the smart s..ts say! Buy up NZAO why don’t you plutocrats, then close us down! No way say Maori.

It was our place, good and livable with a little hassle here and there. But we had it, you came, and messed us around then we sort of got along. Then you got tired of that and signed up with some big guys who want to live in space, even if they have to pile us one on top of each other till they reach the moon. Hell no, we won’t go.

This is a concertina history lesson and overview of present situation. Pull open the concertina, play your favourite tune, and you will reveal the impacted history spilling out page by page. Being made now in increasing numbers. Buy a Kiwi Concertina as Christmas present for the ones you love, if there are any such in your life and not just houses and piles of money and cars, and houses and wine and whisky, vodka (rice is nice, but liquor is quicker), and houses and overseas holidays, clothes, jewellery and houses and …?

It is the first step towards a national ticketing system on public transport, expected to begin its roll-out in Canterbury next year, with Auckland expected to join the system in 2026.
Auckland’s Deputy Mayor, Desley Simpson, said contactless payments will be a “gamechanger” for Aucklanders. (What game are/were you playing Desley?)

Will this be a step towards band card using banishing actual cash in hand for general use? I don’t like that limitation by the PTB ans the flunkies carrying forward the public services with private concerns and profit eliminating concern for actual society and the people. Is this another nail in the coffin. I’m a scaredy cat but when a cat, or dog – no discrimination – has been kicked in the ribs once and perhaps again, there is a real concern about things and of the general complacency leading to Major Malaise.
