The government-appointed inquiry into Australia’s COVID response has warned public trust won’t be so high in a future pandemic and people would be unlikely to accept again many of the measures taken.

    I’m sure they’ll try and terrify everyone into submission again. It just won’t work

    • Who was terrified into submission? By being vaccinated and following sensible ideas regarding personal contact and mask use I didn’t have any fear of COVID-19 and got to do a few projects around home. Those who believed the false information on social media mostly regarding vaccine side effects were the only terrified people I know over that time and if they do not have the discernment to distinguish truth from error with any media information they will continue to live a life of uncertainty.

      • Unfortunately, you are right…when one looks past official (government) information, the world can be a scary place. Thankfully, we still have stellar politicians in place, and now bolstered by the leader of the 2020 pandemic, Donald Trump, we can all, still very, very much,have great faith in official, governmental information. Unregulated social media information be damned – let Donald Trump, thee leader of the official world, once again, lead the way.

        Fark me, I need a dozen of Mangatainoka’s finest after writing this gut rot, despite how truthful it unfortunately is. Information, who do we believe – politicians, the official line, now lead by My Rump, or those speaking out against the likes of Mr Rump, whom only have non-official lines like social media to air their concerns. This is the information war. Who do we believe!

  3. One thing we can be sure of is that there will be more deadly Pandemics involving cross species viruses…and Nashnull will ensure many more will suffer and die unnecessarily with open borders, run down public health system and few restrictions or free supplies.

    COVID is still a thing in pockets of the country and people are still expiring from it. A long time friend of mine who refused to get vaccinated for whatever twisted reason–he did not earbash anyone–and lived in a remote location in the Far North thought he was off the hook as the number of cases waned. He had a chance encounter with an infected person. His “cold” turned bad very quickly and he died several months back, his long time partner devastated.

    The expert community have been issuing sporadic warnings lately, but PM Baldrick could not give one at all, as demonstrated by his refusal so far to appoint a replacement Scientific Advisor.

  4. Santa’s coming too. Soon, very soon. The evidence is mounting everywhere.
    At least all those Anti-Santa loons won’t get any presents from him.
