At approximately 11.05pm on Saturday 19th October at the mighty Ding Dong Lounge, (Auckland’s last great punk bar in the inner city on Wyndham Street), a dark portal to the 7th Dimension of Hell was opened and the dread that is Brackenwood Coven devoured the souls of those willing to sacrifice for Doom Witch Wizard Metal.
The half human-half dark elf drummer Summah Auvae pounded doom like gallons of tar into the eternal midnight.
Witch Lord Doug on Guitar shredded angel wings with cruel sounds from the shadows.
The mighty Cthulhu of Bass, Grim Barbarian Pearson opened and closed the gates of Hell with an avalanche of thunder.
The sulphur and lack of virgins to sacrifice combined to create a sound sludge from the very swamps of Mordor.
The Doom Witch Wizard Metal of Brackenwood Coven can’t be heard by human ears as they rupture thanks to the dark demon scream conjured up.

Hail of course was a cover of Bongripper, the Doom Merchants of Death Metal.
There are no lyrics, for voices would choke in the presence of such dark magic, there is just the never ending grind of menace.
Great first date night to really help establish boundaries.
