The Editor doesn’t moderate this blog, 3 volunteers do, they are very lenient to provide you a free speech space but if it’s just deranged abuse or putting words in bloggers mouths to have a pointless argument, we don’t bother publishing.
All in all, TDB gives punters a very, very, very wide space to comment in but we won’t bother with out right lies or gleeful malice. We leave that to the Herald comment section.
EDITORS NOTE: – By the way, here’s a list of shit that will get your comment dumped. Sexist abuse, homophobic abuse, racist abuse, anti-muslim abuse, transphobic abuse, Chemtrails, 9/11 truthers, Qanon lunacy, climate deniers, anti-fluoride fanatics, anti-vaxxer lunatics, 5G conspiracy theories, the virus is a bioweapon, some weird bullshit about the UN taking over the world and ANYONE that links to fucking infowar.

This is important for blokes to take charge of their own behaviour instead of some perverted, inverted bighead or worry-wart coach etc.

Mental health and alcohol issues among high-profile athletes are a reflection of New Zealand’s wider cultural problems, All Black legend Sir John Kirwan says.
In a wide-ranging interview with RNZ’s Guyon Espiner, Sir John laid bare how his own experiences with clinical depression could be traced back to his time in the All Blacks.

He recounted feeling like an imposter despite phenomenal success on the rugby field, wondering “when am I going to be dropped?”
Kirwan played 63 test matches for the All Blacks in the 1980s and 1990s, and was a pivotal member of the 1987 World Cup-winning side.
Despite the team’s success, they were “very introverted”, he said.
“You wouldn’t show your emotions. We weren’t allowed to celebrate when we scored a try, because if you did, you had a big head.”
The All Blacks of his era were a reflection of New Zealand’s own culture at the time Sir John said…
As we seem, especially pakeha, rather introverted, with a shame-based approach to ‘making a display of oneself’, what about approaching the attitudes that Sir John Kirwan has mentioned with regular street dances great music and everyone can join in. I like these Greek ones – this from Ottawa.

And for those who know something about recent Greek history here is a giant performance from Munich in 1995 I think. When I was in London in the 1970s Mikis Theodorakis, much- loved Greek musician and writer was sheltering there after the takeover of Greece by the generals who felt he threatened their hold with his popularity.
This has Anthony Quinn who did a sterling performance in the film Zorba. He is an old man now but was as active as possible and then addressed the crowd saying that the music of Zorba was the music of life, and he loves life. (Died 2001 aged 86). Mikis Theodorakis was enthusiastic too. A very warm and loving concert.

Some information about AirNZ and their problems running the present business model. We are locked in by commitment to the machines and suppliers that we have treated with. And the decisions were sensible at the original stage. And we have been wise in our choices with the known information at the time, and must carry on trying to do what we can.
But why can’t we get the engines or whatever needed? And when will it be rectified? And are we being pushed to the back of the queue? And when can we start muttering about legal recompense? Can we arrange to get supply through their branch suppliers rather than head office? What can we put into working on the parts ourselves under direction? There will be a stage when the loss of revenue and position in the market will be such that the projected losses can be balanced against increased expenditure from at-home work surely?
