Darleen Tana and the arrogance of hurt personal feelings

Groan.

Another week and another dip into the ocean of hurt feelings that is Darleen Tana…

‘Gutted and betrayed’: Tana fights Green Party over planned expulsion from Parliament

Darleen Tana was unlawfully thrown out of the Green Party, who unfairly blamed her for her husband’s actions, her lawyer argued in the High Court on Thursday.

…the argument put forward by the uber woke clique who are supporting Tana was that it was patriarchal to judge Tana on the actions of her husband which seems to have built the base of Tana’ defence…

Green argued that Tana was being held accountable for Hoff-Nielsen’s actions, which she said was quite unreasonable and would mean MPs worldwide being held account for the legal, commercial and sexual behaviour of their families.

“It cannot be these wide ephemeral standards… you cannot bring the party into disrepute and that has to be your actions, it can’t be your children or your spouse, that is unreasonable.”

…Tana’s defence is the migrant worker her partner is alleged to have exploited is making it up where as her answers as to when she knew what are all fine and the Greens should have believed her rather than embark upon an independent review.

It’s all arrogance of hurt feelings alongside all the grievance of your average Trump MAGA rally.

If Tana had believed in the Green kaupapa, she would have resigned immediately.

The longer this drags on, the weaker the Greens look.

The uber woke clique have destabilised the Party with this internal civil war. Rumours of dirt files have made things far worse.

While the Greens turn on each other, the planet is burning.

Increasingly having independent opinion in a mainstream media environment which mostly echo one another has become more important than ever, so if you value having an independent voice – please donate here.

  1. This issue pretty much sums up the Greens as a political movement, driven by petty jealousy.They cannot and should not be taken seriously.
    To use a TDB saying “while the planet burns.”

  2. Look as a right party voter, and a ‘righty’ you all may scoff my take on at all, but for what it’s worth….
    The Greens deserve every bit of this scorn and embarrassment!
    They have been the ‘shield of sanctimony’ party, the big brother/sister telling other parliamentary parties as if they were their younger siblings, ‘well we wouldn’t do that’, ‘be kind’…behave!

    Now their somewhat flawed selection process (seems the box ticking is not environmental background based, it’s identity…identity…identity, funny that eh?) just have to see who is next on the list if Tana goes.
    Sooo for what it’s worth, and I’m not alone, the greens needed to be taken down a peg or two from their sanctimonious high perch, and a baptism of fire for the new leader.
    What doesn’t kill you, makes you stronger.
    (Now pass the popcorn…)

    • As a left voter I decided long ago that the Greens focus on social engineering instead of a decent environment made me unable to support them. Political parties in general range from average to very bad so thankfully I have my hopes on a higher power.

    • I have no sympathy for the bulk of the Green Party, but it’s kind of laughable you talk about judgemental behaviour when the coalition are f’ing up our future while telling us they are great managers of the economy. The Greens are hardly alone when it comes to train wreck MPs. Both major parties have had their fair share, and ACT and NZ First have an over representation of muppets.

  3. Well, at least this ACT Party shadow funding for lawyers is going to provide funny drama rather than name suppression for heinous crimes.

  4. Now here’s a thought. Maybe, just maybe, Darleen Tana has been given the short end of the stick. Just maybe a bit hard done by. I’m surprised there appears only one immigrant worker complaint. Is that what is in in Bomber’ post? Or guilty by association? If only the one complaint, hardly a litany of exploitation. Following on from the conviction of former MP Golriz Ghahraman the Greens have no appetite for MPs in the headlights.

  5. I knew that Rod Donald’s ridiculous stand on party hopping would backfire, sooner or later.
    It was blindingly obvious.

  6. Act = Super Rich Pricks
    National = Farmers and SME Owners
    NZFirst = Crony Capitalists (plus any voter Winston can wrangle, Tauranga, Grey Power, Antivaxers)
    Labour = Liberals and Unions
    Maori Party = Maori
    Greens = Environmentalists

    Greens have indulged in Brand Extension – disaffected Labour voters, social justice, feminism, sexism, transism, maoridom. Brand extension is nearly always a failure.

    The knitting – climate, pollution, trees, forests, air, water, soil, fish, birds, cannabis, national parks, conservation, wetlands, no-mining, organic farming, pesticides, herbicides, gm food, clean energy production, clean industry. People try to think of the greens as the parliamentary arm of Green Peace, Forest and Bird, No Mining, Norml. The more green-focussed its base the more power to enact green change with any political partner.

    If Chloe’s not ruthless how can she be taken seriously? https://www.imghippo.com/i/mMy7x1724922135.png
