It is down to the wire.
The late surge to Labour is here, NZ First has stalled.
Greens are strong.
ACT is getting dumped by freaked out voters.
NZ First
Special votes will decide.
HOLD DAMMIT!
ALL OF YOU HOLD YOUR STATIONS!
To the breech dear friends!
Look to my coming at first light on the fifth day! At Dawn look to the East at Helms Deep!

HOLD!
We are one lone X-Wing Fighter against the dread of an ACT/National/NZF Death Star!

We told you this was the outcome!
TDB made the call that the only shot was a Labour/Green minority with Supply and Confidence with the Mฤori Party.
There was no other way!

Every single day, new National, ACT or NZ First policy gets released that will cause social carnage + voters are now realising the extremism of the Rights venal selfishness!
Barely 3000 will gain the full Tax cuts National have ben spouting!
They are taking from the poor to give to rich landlords after receiving millions in real estate industry donations.
Voters feel embittered towards Labour because of their Covid response and that is utterly unfair.
Letโs remind everyone about the shared universal experience of Covid.
Jacinda and Labourโs leadership saved us from 20 000 dead!!!!!
New Zealandโs Covid-19 response saved 20,000 lives โ research
READ THAT AGAIN!
You are angry at Jacinda and Labour for saving us from a mass death event, she prevented 20 000 dead!
Yes the rebuild has been painful, Labourโs sins were lack of vision and refusing to tax the rich to rebuild the infrastructure better, those are sins the Greens and Mฤori Party will rectify during negotiations!
We all sacrificed but the sacfrice was uneven in an unequal society.
Ramraids, Murders, street violence, domestic violence, these are all stresses of a bigger symptom and they require careful policy consider, not ZB talking point emotional knee jerks!
But letโs be crystal clear, Labour, Greens and Mฤori Party on a bad day are a million times more preferable than National, ACT and NZF on a good day!
Look at how has been positive and who has been negative! 63% of Labourโs Facebook posts included positive self-presentation. Meanwhile, just 5.5% of Nationalโs posts are positive.โ
The sheer scale of malice and spite ACT, National and NZ First intend to inject into our social policy is so vast it canโt be under stated!
Iโve never felt scared for NZ before, but the toxicity of National, ACT and NZ First combined make me fearful for this country.
Their desire to slash jobs, throw the poor onto the streets and punish everyone who isnโt them is so ugly and needless and most importantly, totally counter productive.
If the Left vote, the Left wins!
COME ON DAMN IT, stand and fight! We will not allow this malaise of petty right wing ignorance navigate our country for 3 years!
There is hope and that hope is worth fighting for!
We are a better people than National, ACT and NZ First think we are!

Doing my two ticks Green tomorrow
If the left vote, the left win!
Yes…and the TV1 poll has been the outlier and most complimentary towards National by big margin….
Guardian poll……34%
Newshub poll……34.5%
Luxon’s got nothing left in the tank…nothing… other than to repeat ad nauseam the vacuous line that ‘the country wants change’ blah blah and blah over and over…. No wonder he cowardly avoided the 3rd debate against Chippy!!
Change for change sake is not a policy, or a rational reason for someone to vote for them….It’s a lazy meaningless garbage throw away line… a Groundsweller’s …a rabbitholer’s … a real estate agent’s.. and a landlord’s reason to vote for them… because they will be the only beneficiaries.
Their policies are hideous and unworkable with serious quid pro quo carnage attached for anyone on the wrong side of the ledger.
The fact that he ran and hid from the 3rd debate when the opportunity presented itself speaks volumes and tells you all you need to know.
That was a ‘canary in the coalmine moment’ right there!!
He’s a vacant actor with no real script…just some poorly thought through lines..
Prime Minister….pfft…yeah right !!
Ditto, done today.
Labour is disliked. because they have pushed 3 waters which robbed the ratepayers of assets
because they allowed criminals to roam free on home detention so they could say they were beating crime with less going to prison and gangs were kiven a free pass to do what they wanted .
because they did not live up to their promise of the number of state houses they would build with a resultant drop in rents and more in warm dry homes .Instead home prices are through the roof and rents up by hundreds.
because roads have not been built health is a shambles they have hurt motorists and farmers and voters have lost confidence they know a way forward.
After 6 years that is why they are losing dealing with covid was part of the job and Labour got their thanks at the last election in spades
Wow Trevor. Wayne Brown wants to sell Auckland so the three waters comment is laughable for a huge number of voters (if they are paying attention)
All of those issue were root causes left behind by 9 years of a terrible National coalition.
Sadly it looks like that is what we are going to have to look forward to again.
Things aren’t looking so grand now compared to last week. I would have thought Luxon and NatCCP would have got some worthy advice from head office. Sure it is fair distance, but hey, Beijing is only a phone call away.
The Newshub poll is even worse for National.
The end times are coming sooner than you think, possibly by the next sabbath.
Therefore behold, for we must all repent for the second coming of his baldiness, lest he smite us down with a single glance. But first a few tweaks to the commandments:
Neo liberal unbelievers to be thrown to the lions.
Blessed are the young for they shall inherit their parents govt debt.
501 deportees will be redeported further south, to our territory on the south pole.
Lust and fornication to now come under our new three strikes regime.
Gluttony will be discouraged, by not taking gst off fruit and vege.
The lame and destitute, shall feel my almighty wrath, dealt to by my msd machete.
Iโll generously reduce my own taxes, while forcing the ill to pay for their apothecary.
My band of angelic landlords will enforce no fault evictions upon hapless bottomfeeders.
Those reaching the greatest heights of avarice, shall receive my highest honours.
Free vip passes issued to one percenters, to access the kingdom of heaven, via the secret side entrance.
Demon pariah Judas Winston, will be invited into my tent after judgment day, and if he accepts me as the almighty alpha and omega, then I will rule this land with him by my side, for eternity, or until Nicola gets the courage to bump me off my perch, which ever comes first.
For thine is the kingdom, the power, and the glory. Aloha.
Your advice is good Martyn. But who wants good advice – take it away and throw it in the mouldering heap where all other good advice has gone in the last … (fill in preference) years.
I followed my heart, and voted for a good sincere land practical for-advancing-us-all local candidate and the Womens Rights Party, both worthy, and sincere because the Womens Rights Party has old feminists in it. NZ/AO seems to be broadly a ditsy morals-free zone at present, so at least I can stay close to thoughtful, believable people and feel a metaphorical warm hand.
Taking care of
People’s
Mana
Who ARE the fucking idiots voting NZF?? That is the honestly most disturbing thing about this electionโฆ.
Conspiracy theorists who have taken over NZ1st and old boomers who dream of 1950s style NZ and white supremist types.
Parliament is called the house off representatives, who represents the boomers, ONLY Winston NZF
He is the only poly actually talking about them positively.
He repesents them, he is their man, he is a shoe in for near 10%
The NZ Heralds interactive poll shows a 99% chance of a National/ NZ First/ ACT coalition.
That should be fun and it will be interesting to see how National handles the handbrake of NZ First. They may even get to understand the reasons why Chippy ruled out Winston.
Thinking another election before their term is up.
Seymour and ACT are a joke! So much for strong policy. Seymour has backed down now that he realizes Winston is kingmaker and clearly Seymour will lay down with dogs and do anything just to be in government…
“ACT Party leader David Seymour was repeatedly asked on TVNZ’s Breakfast how he expects the public to trust him to work with New Zealand First leader Winston Peters if he doesn’t trust him.
Seymour responded saying the best indicator of future performance is past performance and he would ultimately work with the Parliament that people select.
When asked what he won’t compromise on, he said fighting for a better deal for New Zealanders on how we deal with the cost of living, government spending, red tape and regulation and a clear understanding of what the treaty means and how people fit into it.
He was then asked whether a referendum on treaty principles is a bottom line and whose interpretation of the treaty he would be using. He responsed saying it would be decided by Parliament. “
What a pity that we can’t have organised legal betting on the election results. At least all the anxiety could have worthwhile results in real interest and ‘caring’ and moo-lah for some.. And if betting might bend the results – what would be different?
National set to lose another MP surely…
