EDITORS NOTE: – By the way, here’s a list of shit that will get your comment dumped. Sexist language, homophobic language, racist language, anti-muslim hate, transphobic language, Chemtrails, 9/11 truthers, Qanon lunacy, climate deniers, anti-fluoride fanatics, anti-vaxxer lunatics, 5G conspiracy theories, the virus is a bioweapon, some weird bullshit about the UN taking over the world and ANYONE that links to fucking infowar.

Still in shock at hearing CIA asset, Doctor Alan Bonner, explain domestic Canadian politics and foreign policy, as per the assassination of a Sikh in Canada by the government of Bharat – on National Radio. Now channeling the world view of Leighton Smith (and other male journalists here from Oz).
What a misleading heading in RNZ – experienced sub-eds should do better than this.

The alleged offender released from hospital attacks officers!
Queenstown facilities overstretched and an’t manage to control basic hygiene expected in a high class resort. But what me worry says leading official?
I remember from long ago how some high class resort in Switzerland? somewhere?, had an outbreak of something causing severe outcomes. A passing motor cyclist passed it on somehow in the water system. They couldn’t trace where it came from for yonks.
Our water is not guaranteed pure – not 100% – we know that was a lie perpetrated under National. Why should Labour have to bear all the pain for lies and prevarications and gambling with our economy and lives, when National will do the same and more? TheLabour at least promise better things and try in a fitful way. There is hope that they will succeed but National and Axe in comparison look like a nascent Nazi Party and brought the world quickly to its knees.
There is a lot that could be done to help ordinary women without careers in their important roles of nurturing and guiding their children to take their place in society.
There has been an organisation since the 1800s to do this so why hasn’t it achieved a reasonable success?

…Jill Smith, the granddaughter of suffragette and women’s rights advocate Kate Edger (1857 – 1935), accepted an Honorary Doctor of Literature on behalf of the woman whose name adorns the University’s Student Information Commons at the University spring graduation ceremony today (19 September 2023), the 130th anniversary of women’s suffrage in Aotearoa.
On 11 July 1877, Kate Milligan Edger became the first woman in New Zealand to gain a university degree and the first woman in the British Empire to receive a Bachelor of Arts (Mathematics and Latin). At her graduation, more than a thousand people turned out to witness the occasion; Kate the only woman on the stage…
Jill Smith says Kate always felt that education was not just about the acquisition of knowledge for its own sake, but should also build up the student’s moral character and that intellectual training would make “true women, when it is combined with the training of the heart and the soul”.
Note how the achievements that women could rise to were limited in the pursuit of seeing them as poor sorts who were vulnerable and needed help. That being the trend it wasn’t long before the safety and treatment of animals was added to the statement of purpose for care of women and children.
…The Society for the Protection of Women and Children was established in Auckland in 1893; in 1899 the branch for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals was incorporated, and the society was registered accordingly. The objects of the society are to prosecute in cases of cruelty, wrong, outrage, or excessive violence to women; to give advice and aid to women who have been cruelly treated; to make provision for children when it is found that parents or guardians are unfit persons to have charge of them etc…by exciting and sustaining an intelligent public opinion regarding man’s duty to the lower animals.
[Note compassion and sympathy creeps in when there are animals included. Women asking for respect and opportunities did not go forward strongly till the 1960s-1970s.]

There has been little proper appreciation of the important role of motherhood in building mental strength and power, mixed with kindness and morals in their children which mothers should have time and training to pass on. Hence I believe our present problems result from too little intelligent rational guidance from mothers bringing up sons, and daughters as well.

This was rational advice. Abandoning the idea of nil gst on f&v, could then have led to overall reduction of gst to 10% – a savage cut similar to that to bennies by Ruthless R and co. With a new gst regime, 2.5% of the 10% would go to the area producing that flow of tax. This would be available for useful stuff for everyday business by NZs for NZs (or whatever name it transmogrifies to) and paid through a locally-Trust that keeps ownership of everything; made up of local people and always remaining in NZ.
I suppose the effect of presenting this idea would be for impeccably university and field trained financial screw-merchants and toothy pollies to say trl:dr!!!!!
