Comrades – A Labour Green Minority Government with Supply & Confidence from Maori Party is the only game

Comrades, the naked truth for the Left is that the only game in town is a Labour/Green minority Government with Supply and Confidence support from the Māori Party, and it will be the price of the Supply and Confidence support that gives the Left some actual wins and hope.

If the Māori Party are focused on legacy, they will make those bottom-lines for their Supply and Confidence support universal policy gains, not intrinsically Māori interests.

If they came out and said their bottom lines are:

  • GST off Food
  • Wealth Tax on Banks
  • New Supermarket chain following the Commerce Commissions recommendations and taking 30% of the market backed by Iwi to be food providers and build true food security.

those policies would ultimately help everyone who is poor alongside helping Māori.

Bottom-lines as broad as that in a cost of living crisis will see many working poor vote Māori Party.

Labour holds the centre, the Greens just hold and the Māori Party does the heavy lifting.

That is the only mathematical way the Left wins.

National are selling a Labour minority led Government with a supply and confidence arrangement with the Māori Party as the ‘coalition of chaos’ which exposes a grotesque level of ignorance on Chris Luxon’s behalf.

After cutting a deal for Supply and Confidence – The Māori Party would then go onto the cross benches and if their list of demands on policy is too great, it allows Labour to turn to the National Party for votes instead.

The cross bench giveth and it can taketh away, if the Māori Party demands are too great it allows National to offer up votes for legislative changes.

This isn’t ‘chaos’, this is how MMP is supposed to work and seeing as Labour and National vote the same 70% of the time, that isn’t ‘chaos’, that’s the normal functioning of MMP Democracy.

We need to understand the strategy being used here that will give us victory, many are furious with Labour’s wealth tax caution and sick of the Greens weird woke bullshit, but John Tamihere’s Māori Party is the circuit breaker here and we could see real fundamental change occur as long as we are focused.

If we lose, a National ACT Government channeling the very worst of this nations hate and pettiness will win and cause immeasurable suffering.

You have your marching orders, now get out there and fight dammit!

Fight for today!

Fight for tomorrow!

DO NOT LET THOSE RICH FUCKS STEAL OUR NATION!

  1. In the last 3 days z Labour have opened their eyes and finally noticed we have a problem with crime and particularly youth crime .3 days 3 new policies on law in the next few days they might admit they got it wrong on health ,education and housing with a range of new ideas to fix them if only we give them 3 more years .

    • Tough on crime = police brutality and suspension of due process. How long before police are given powers to deal out summary executions?

  2. You are going to be disappointed when all the Maori Party want is more ethnostate and “co-governance”.

    As for Iwimart……lol fucking lol

  3. I am a firm believer in the need for NZ to have a govt that mirrors the ‘Nordic Model’ but the simple truth is that the political left in NZ now in truth represents nothing more than virtue-signaling reverse-racism coupled with gross incompetence and the sooner we have a change in govt the better.
I would literally vote for the Devil over the spectre of a Labeen + Maori Party govt.
Time for the counter-revolution to start.

  4. Public services and high wages are more important than anything else in this nation. If we dont have those, then we have nothing. That is why we must vote Labour back in at all costs.

Despite what all the rich pricks want to say.

    • So you do not praise the police for their bravery today .I suppose you would not have had them armed with more than a baton

        • That makes me think – utter is like uber a bit. How long before we get uber commenters or humanoids dropping in? That may be a new normal when we use the old acronym? SNAFU.

        • See Millsy previous comment you are in that thread as well so your question is strange .
It was a double post that often happens .

  5. Oh! you have upset some of the a-holes on this site they would prefer the poor to suffer more and Māori
(who are over- represented in every bad statistic including poverty) to get kicked in the guts. I really hope your right if that other lot get in, life is going to be very unpleasant in our country as they are nasty and all about the rich.

  6. Dont all crucify me when I mention his name but Roger Douglas is bringing out a new paper for the future of NZ. And it sounds interesting. He is slamming Labour, Nats and ACT.

Sean Plunket has a shortish interview with him on The Platform which is worth a listen. He says NZ is facing bankruptcy and we need a huge reset of everything we are doing. He has some interesting ideas and says what we all knew (especially Michael Cullen) that ‘Pay as you go’ is not working and that we need to go to a savings model like Singapore (and for a hybrid model, Australia). He is not coming across as right wing, the poor get the $3 MIll equivalent too. So it’ll be interesting to read his paper when its out.

    • He wants full user pays in health and education. Also he says that his plans will have people with $1m in the bank when they are 65. The catch is, that means that there is no superannuation, and $1m is the amount of super that people will get when they retire at 65 and live to 100 anyway. They just get it over 35 years.

    • I listen to most people nowadays.

Labour Greens and Te Parti Maori terrify me far more than Nact.

Labour have been reckless with spending with nothing to show for it. Crime.education health and inequality all much worse under this govt. free speech forever under threat.
standford min of education versus Tinetti

      • “Labour Greens and Te Parti Maori terrify me far more than Nact…” ANKER

        Why?

Because they might make you face reality?

        https://www.thenationalnews.com/climate/2023/07/21/july-likely-to-be-hottest-month-for-hundreds-if-not-thousands-of-years/

July likely to be hottest month for ‘hundreds, if not thousands, of years’
US, Europe and China all battling excessive heat

“Temperatures and heat indices will reach levels that would pose a health risk, and be potentially deadly to anyone without effective cooling and/or adequate hydration,” the US weather agency said in a Friday bulletin…..

“I listen to most people nowadays.” ANKER (BRACELET)

When you say “most people” do you include the conspiracy theorists, the climate change denialists, the antivaxxers, the gun nuts, the anti migrant racists, the speculators and landlords that want to squeeze the lifeblood out of renters, the banksters that want to squeeze all the rest of us?

BY “most people” do you mean the right wing extremists that want to turn this country into a far right dystopian polluted hell hole?

No wonder your are afraid if these are are the people you include when you write “I speak to most people”. Fear is their language. Denial is their fantasy.

  7. Well Comrade Professor Martyn B you have been studying, sifting the evidence, have identified the body and lo it still is breathing, just. I think it would be wise for all intelligent rational people who vote to follow your diagnosis/prognosis – whatever. I think you are likely to be 95%
right (it is hard to be absolutely correct all the time/any time).

  8. TPM are only in it for their tribe to rob the country.

The rainbow snowflake party have created the divide by following identity politics hook line and sinker . They need to be removed from parliament

And labour “only in the name “ has run this country into the ground, they’ve blown money left right and centre on middlemen who have fleeced the country whilst doing no actual work.

Stalinda , Chicken & Chipkens and the fat toad Robertson are epic failures for the working class of this country.

    Labour are dog tucker.

And sadly what we are going to get for a government is the hardest right wing government in over half a century .

Thanks labour for fucking it up, thanks the greens for destroying democracy, and thanks the TPM for dividing the country racially

  9. Iain (M>) Banks is one of he authors I have just heard of. But what a great bloke. His ideas have thrust.

    From Wikipedia –
In April 2012 Banks became the “Acting Honorary Non-Executive Figurehead President Elect pro tem (trainee)” of the Science Fiction Book Club based in London. The title was his creation and on 3 October 2012 Banks accepted a T-shirt inscribed with it…

This for the leadership in a phalanx of educated, informed loyal co-operative citizens running our country?
