    • His (Third Way Liberal) political backers also promote racialist black nationalism. Thus he likely would’ve been advised against denouncing all those hate-filled anti-European prejudices (which are peddled as a supposedly righteous struggle against the collectively-guilty hordes of the ‘whiteness power matrix’).

      The anti-scientific Critical Social Justice brigade make such rulings purely based on one-sided, demagogic anecdotes: they reject the ability of man to comprehend the objective material world, and even the existence of universal physical laws. Man supposedly lives in his own individual reality (constructed entirely out of language, or ‘colonialist, minoritising discourses’), which can never be comprehended by others using empirical evidence (there is no truth, but ‘truths’; there is no reality, but ‘realities’ of ‘critically-conscious lived experience’).

    Meng seemed a nice well meaning chap back in the day. A guy, if we accept it in a country so virulently racist against anything but white people, who was elected mayor of his council 6 times. But he was a bloody useless race commissioner. If it was a blatant racial slur against whitey, well, that’s just colonisation or art, (or insert whatever the trendy excuse label there is), to blame. Who gives a fuck! And with that went the race relations credibility, if it had any.

    Just be rid of this waste of money – waste of space commission thing at the same time Meng is getting his obligatory golden handshake! Put the money into Phamac.

    • They have no experience for the job they are appointed to. Perhaps the next RRC should be some unknown public servant who has wide experience in the public sector, knows the Act and the law in this area and has a record of unheralded service to our country.

  5. I wonder who goes round looking for these transgressions.
    I bet there’s plenty on the other side who will be divesting and covering in case they get elected in October.
    But in a country our size how many people know people who know other people that have shares or interests that may or may not be conflicting.
    I own shares in a port company, does that preclude me from having a say on Auckland Port relocating to Marsden Point.
    What worries me more is the impression being created of a corrupt system when we all no it’s no different to what it has been for ever. After all why do rich people want to enter parliament.
    They don’t all of a sudden turn into do gooders . They see an opportunity to use the system for their own benefits.
    Also how does a lowly paid parliamentarian seemingly become wealthy as many do over their time in parliament.
    Knowledge and position helps immensely.
    How conflicted will Luxon and Seymour be when they are discussing tax breaks for property owners.
    Luxon owns at least 7, Seymour fessed up to interests in 3 after claiming for years he couldn’t afford a house.

    • Peter, The trouble is that they start seeing themselves as celebs, and behaving as such. But why we put foreign imports into these positions is utterly bizarre. The universities also do it with their VC’s who more often than not become PC zealots, while the debts mount up, and academic standards flounder. VUW is apparently no longer using the services of a Californian import who required history students to formulate assignments using first person singular and plural pronouns in lieu of proper nouns, except, apparently, until their last assignment; asphyxiating for academics, and unrealistic if subject to ToW compliance.

      The Human Rights and Race Relations Commissioners seem to work to such simplistic sort of algorithms that their work could probably be done more cheaply by the sort of customer service reps used to reject GP’s referrals to hospitals. Only need quick keyboarding skills then.

  9. I hope Acts first action in Govt is to get rid of so many of these positions that are a waste of tax payers money.

    I can’t wait for the Human Rights commission to go. Paul Hunt attending a protest for trans “rights’ in Wellington, the day after women were beaten and terrorized exercising their freedom of speech.
    I think there will be a single appointee and this time I hope they chose someone who is balanced and reasonable.

    • Anker If Paul Hunt attended the Wellington trans rights rally after what they did to those defenceless old ladies at Albert Park, then he should be reported to the Minister for Women. He should also be reported to the Human Right Commissioner, assuming that he speaks to himself, which I wouldn’t if I were him.

    • Anker Hunt has every right to be a transgender activist, but in which case he should relinquish his position as Human Rights Commissioner. The HRC represents all people, and his choosing to oppose the rights of some of the people, i.e, biological women, is unacceptable.

      Those women at Albert Park weren’t exercising their right to speak, they didn’t even get the chance to speak, they were silenced. That may be good enough for Paul Hunt, but it is not good enough for New Zealand women, it is partisan and degrades his office.

    • Anker Hunt trying to demonstrate against women having freedom of speech should have had him fired. He shouldn’t be demonstrating against anybody having freedom of speech. He has to go.

  11. Not even vaguely surprising. For all their woke posturing, the PMC are all about money and power (because that brings more money) no matter the colour of their skin.

    Progressivism as it is currently deployed is the biggest scam on earth. Beneath layers of virtuosity, these cretins are crippling countries and cultures whilst stacking up the range rovers, second homes and biannual holidays abroad.

    The poor get even poorer whilst they are scammed into supporting seemingly caring politicians and their army of enablers and stooges. Even democracy will not survive them as they taint it with their lust for power – gerrymandering, redefining it, you name it. Just another tool to be used.
