The Editor doesn’t moderate this blog,  3 volunteers do, they are very lenient to provide you a free speech space but if it’s just deranged abuse or putting words in bloggers mouths to have a pointless argument, we don’t bother publishing.

EDITORS NOTE: – By the way, here’s a list of shit that will get your comment dumped. Sexist language, homophobic language, racist language, anti-muslim hate, transphobic language, Chemtrails, 9/11 truthers, Qanon lunacy, climate deniers, anti-fluoride fanatics, anti-vaxxer lunatics, 5G conspiracy theories, the virus is a bioweapon, some weird bullshit about the UN taking over the world  and ANYONE that links to fucking infowar.

  1. RNZ is good to hammer at us being Aethelred the Unready. Sleepy hollow has to wake up; or is it Cargo cultists get off their bums from their luxury cars and ‘swingeing’ office chairs, pub or drug territory.

Will we have to massacre people or be massacred. or just pass away ourselves, as history unfolds?

Æthelred was the son of King Edgar the Peaceful and Queen Ælfthryth. He came to the throne at about the age of 12, following the assassination of his older half-brother, King Edward the Martyr.
The chief problem of Æthelred’s reign was conflict with the Danes. After several decades of relative peace, Danish raids on English territory began again in earnest in the 980s, becoming markedly more serious in the early 990s. Following the Battle of Maldon in 991, Æthelred paid tribute, or Danegeld, to the Danish king. In 1002, Æthelred ordered what became known as the St. Brice’s Day massacre of Danish settlers. In 1013, King Sweyn Forkbeard of Denmark invaded England, as a result of which Æthelred fled to Normandy in 1013 and was replaced by Sweyn. After Sweyn died in 1014, Æthelred returned to the throne, but he died just two years later.

Æthelred’s 37-year combined reign was the longest of any Anglo-Saxon English king, and was only surpassed in the 13th century, by Henry III. Æthelred was briefly succeeded by his son, Edmund Ironside, but he died after a few months and was replaced by Sweyn’s son Cnut.

  2. This was no doubt a rational business decision. But to me and others, it is bad-faith NZ deja vu.

Te Pukenga made the decision to axe MAINZ’s Auckland campus because of flooding damage and financial trouble.
A student at a respected Auckland music school says she was given just over two weeks’ notice that her course had been called off.
The Music and Audio Institute of New Zealand – or MAINZ – boasts alumni like Joel Little, who produced some of Lorde’s early work.

Why would anyone inspect integrity from anything in NZ? Nothing is done fairly and rightly with determination to fulfil expectations of quality. I want NZ back as it was when I respected it and thought highly of my country. This decades-long experiment has not worked and it is time to return to the type of country we had and which was fought for in WW2 and later. Not some bunch of fly-by-nights. And let us have our money back from politicians who have been happily pocketing good dosh for poor quality delivery.

There is a fair amount of suing going on – and I think that the ordinary citizen shiould break up this Super Ultimate Game of Thrones and Drones.

Can you sue the New Zealand government?
The ability of citizens to bring civil legal proceedings against the Crown and its servants is an important part of New Zealand’s constitution, and is protected by the New Zealand Bill of Rights Act 1990.

Fair enough!? But wait – there is little legal aid and the lawyers involved have complained for long that they are underpaid just in regard to normal rates and not those paid to lawyers plucked out to lead commissions, special pleadings etc. So how do the lumpenproletariat (unrevolutionary) or even, the ever hopeful, very-ordinary citizens find the dosh? Guess put up and shut-up is the not so hidden agenda.

  3. Is Grant Robertson in hiding? Or just worrying about how he’s going to satisfy everyone while maintaining his commitment to the trad 3rd way/neoliberal/miserly economic framework (in this space, going forward).
But thanks @ Grant anyway for making it easier to electorate vote Labour.
The Party vote is going to be a bit of a bugger though. Has Alf got a suggestion?

  4. The govt wants to increase recycling and decrease waste going to landfill. Yet in the area I am, both free timber recycling and paint recycling have quietly disappeared. Is this the work of those pesky lobbyists again, this time from the paint and timber industry, wanting to sell more paint and timber, by lobbying to stop the recycling. Why worry about the planet, when you can make more money?
