Marama backs down on hating Cracker, and I’m not sure I recognise the Green Party any longer

1. If white cis males are to be blamed for all the violence then they ought to be blamed for all the prosperity.

2. For every 5 point rise in the polls, The Greens take a 4 point hiding. Where as some one like John key wasn’t button smashing. Key was very cold. Very deliberate. It’s a competence of a different kind the greens know nothing about.

   For every one hundred soldiers. Ten shouldn’t be there, 80 are targets, 10 do all the work and only one of those ten workers are a warrior.

   Unfortunately the greens don’t want warriors preferring to button smash.

Not just racism and sheer lunnacy but the minister of sexual violence saying any violence committed by men and women that weren’t white isn’t real…. Wow … She must be fired from her job as a minister immediately, gaslighting sex abuse victims for twitter likes …

     When average working class labour people are saying you know we never had any of this shit under John key, it’s time to pack up and leave.

     The left need to be destroyed at the next election so they have a good hard look at themselves, nat/act will inflict horrible economic reforms on us povos but labour and the Greens don’t give a fuck about us and honestly….    • This is anecdotal meaning it’s my experience but I blame woman’s weekly/day. Bare with me.

     We should all be aware of these magazines that push this false narrative that all men cheat and these woman on the front page are strong and independent and unfortunately brown woman saw all these strong independent woman and went I don’t need a man. I’m blaming woman’s weekly for destroying the family unit for profit. Woman are incentivised to leave there husband for welfare, childcare and anti depression pills.

     I’m also blaming the government for profiting from this misery. Single men are way better at raising children yet the courts overwhelmingly give the mother full custody. These evil bureaucrats with there nice government superannuation are tearing New Zealand apart by starting at the conclusion instead of looking at the father.

     It’s not true that men cause most of the family violence let alone white men so let’s get specific here. The salvation army surveys about family violence and government surveys. The overwhelming majority of all family violence studies put woman ahead of men in the family violence category. This is just typical of woman shielding other woman from accountability.

To my knowledge, James Shaw and Eugenie Sage don’t play to the gallery on race, age, sex or gender issues, just all the others, stuck in some sort of dopey adolescence and certainly not the environmentalists we need. The question about the appalling shenanigans in Auckland, is whether there was collusion among the politicians, MSM, and the police, not to give biological women a voice, and to what extent the chaos was engineered, and by whom. We’ll probably never know. They have to go.

   • Yes. Every New Zealand politician being cited in the international media celebrating the violence at Albert Park as a coming together of love and acceptance must be voted out. That includes the PM. The police district commander responsible for allowing women to be threatened and struck by transgender supporters, should face charges. Now that the world has seen the police in Auckland watching while the misogynist mob intimidated and attacked women, the Commissioner should do the honourable thing and consider tendering his own resignation. When the politicians and the police are opposed to freedom of speech, then the voters must take whatever legal action they can to protect it.

6. As much as I’d like to as a (former) Green voter/supporter am struggling to buy the “in shock” narrative.

   The Herald reported on Saturday that the motorcycle incident happened at 10.40am. That puts it prior to the start of the rally at 11am. The Spinoff reported that Posey Parker was on site for 24 minutes before leaving. Assuming she arrived on time that takes us to 11.24 am. The Twitter feed of the TRA protesters indicates that after Posey left there was some kind of celebration where they took over the band rotunda. Marama was present during that, and reportedly spoke to the crowd.

   The infamous “interview” with Counterspin clearly took place after the rally as Marama was leaving the venue, as Hannah Speirer asks her about the ‘assault’ of Posey Parker which had occurred. So we must be talking at least an hour after the motorcycle incident at 10.40.

   I am not a doctor, but is it really credible that the minister was still in medical shock to the point she did not know what she was saying that long after the event, especially given she seems to have behaved as expected during the protest? Or am I missing something?

   It would be nice if somebody from the media who has access to ask these questions properly would do so instead of just writing down the minister’s press release.

I’m also wondering if Davidson was hit by motorcycles prior to the Auckland Muslim vigil when she and her Green girl friends publicly blamed white New Zealanders for the horrific massacre carried out by a wicked Australian. A party leader telling lies about another race can cause terrible social carnage and must be voted out of power and encouraged to seek medical help about their obsession, whatever the cause.

9. As well as a thugs veto, identity protesters have the endorsement of Government Ministers, supportive legacy media coverage, and police will not step in. Which leaves social judgement as their only limit. So they will easily be manipulated.

   Whoever has an opposing view in future will not expect protection from the police. Which means anyone moderate will stay home, and anyone who turns up will be prepared for conflict.

   A recipe for escalation. Bad news for the left. Are the police thinking the long game through, or just avoiding short term ‘optics’ ? Probably stupidity rather than conspiracy.

10. This is what happens when you over educate the dim & slow witted middle class.

    Back in the day when the grownups realised that little Timmy or little Sally weren’t up to speed, they were encouraged to leave school mid way the 5th and to get a job where they could do no harm. Like the NZ Rail or the old Post Office.

    Now they find themselves at university & have meltdowns when a Professor tells them the fairy tales they have been told aren’t true.

        When I say “educated” she’s one of those people who have paid for a degree.

        I seriously doubt she would have been capable of being awarded a degree if she went to varsity in the 70’s or 80’s. FFS it was hard enough for me to get accredited UE, then bursary. University was then so much harder. But then again maybe I’m a bit dim…

        • Well done Terry making it to university with the odds against you, that’s so cheering. I think that when internal assessment became a major degree component, especially in the humanities, then the nature of what was being achieved changed. Knew a lady who did a complete BA selecting subjects which didn’t require an end of semester exam. It was because she tended to seize up at exam time, but it does open the way for skulduggery, cheating, or whatever, and this does occur.

          As far as Marama Davidson is concerned, her ability still seems well-concealed.

        Then the real targets for investigation and reform would be the universities. Forget wailing over the results of indoctrination of the half witted in educational institutions. To be effective the attack must be on the institutions their texts, the history and the writers of the texts. The deep and abiding rot is inside the universities.

    Davison is a Bigot and she has been caught in these situations a few times before. Anyone who watched the counterspin video which did not occur immediately after the motorbike incident can be left in no doubt she meant what she said. She even kind of reiterated it by saying she was tangata whenua and Paraphrased) ergo I am right.

    She’s made excuses but once again she hasnt apologised for her incorrect views (Incorrect numerically as well as philosophically).

16. True Colours – I don’t mind if she stays as a green leader – greens have become a cluster no where near who I desired which was to keep a govt in check environmentally?

    Personally with Marama I think she has personal issues and a chip on her shoulder which she will never change due to late June 2018, she disclosed that she had been sexually abused as an eight-year-old child by a distant relative.

    Also, during the New Zealand Parliament’s formal apology to homosexual men convicted of consensual acts before the passage of the Homosexual Law Reform Act in 1986, Davidson acknowledged that her uncle had assaulted a gay man after reacting badly to his proposition. Her uncle was convicted of manslaughter.

    Davidson apologised on behalf of her late uncle to the LGBT community in New Zealand & this is why I think she stands so much with Trans etc communities – some sort of whanua guilt? To be honest I would think the same possibly in her position.

    There is a lot to unravel when you look into a persons past and to be honest this is only what we know.

    I have sympathy and empathy towards her but not to her division in the job to the rest of New Zealand, especially those of European decent being male.

    Can she clearly separate all other people from her judgement from her own trauma may be the bigger issue?

    I hope she gets help from Whanua and friends, from this I see her comments as racist, divisive but also as a fallible human being like every person with an origin of emotions.

    • Meh. With all the free speech advocates around here you’d think at least one person would defend her right to say something stupid. After all, plenty of politicians of all political leanings have done that. So I’ll be that guy, even though I don’t agree with nearly anything she says, she has a right to say it.

19. Life long left voter here, but now I feel personally forced to vote right after the left inciting violence at a women’s rights protest and the failure of the respective parties to address this. You’d be surprised how many mums and aunties like myself are concerned about the conflict between trans rights and important sex based rights for vulnerable women in particular. Until the violence on Saturday, we were all too scared to go public, but now we realise the time to speak up is here. Let women speak!

21. The point is, she was hit by a motorbike, and was clearly in trauma and shock from that event straight afterward. Given Posie Parker’s ongoing and previous association with white supremacism, I can certainly see how a moment of lapsed concentration could have fed that into there. I’d like to know why it is that the Right is ignoring that motorbike incident and denouncing the perpetrator, as well as insisting they come forward. However, there’s much tut tutting because someone threw some lukewarm tomato juice at the visiting British alt-right agitator.

23. They have been middleclass wankers for a while now. Pretty much the same as all political parties. Do we even have a left wing party anymore that represents the rights of workers?     The biggest tragedy is that the only party that takes climate change seriously has been sabotaged by one of its own leaders. Every time Marama speaks to journalists from here on in to the election, they are going to bring up the fact that she blames white heterosexual men for the violence in New Zealand. How many men are going to vote for the Greens with leader that believes that? If the Greens go under five percent, I don’t know that they will ever be in Parliament again. There will be a mass flight from the party which will be left with a shell of members and voters.

    I don’t give a shit about this stuff – I want real solutions to real problems i.e. child poverty, fair incomes and climate change. Given Labour achieved the electoral impossible MMP last cycle and still couldn’t achieve diddily squat they need to be schooled on what is important and what is not.

    I will hold my nose and vote National and hope an utter drubbing brings them to their senses. I suspect it won’t but what else can one do.
