Good farming news. But the farmer irrigates during the day with probable loss of water from evaporation. Is there an alternative to spraying it up in the air in the sun?
Water even from bores will become more precious. The east coast may have to have canals dug all over the place and use solar to send excess water to dry areas, perhaps pump it up to hilltops where it can gravity feed down permeable channels to keep dry areas water tables up.
“This one here’s 77 kilowatts which matches our pump behind us, and then we’ve got a X25-kilowatt setup as well and yeah, when we’re irrigating in the middle of the day and the sun’s out, we’re running at a neutral cost,” he said.“This one here’s 77 kilowatts which matches our pump behind us, and then we’ve got a 25-kilowatt setup as well and yeah, when we’re irrigating in the middle of the day and the sun’s out, we’re running at a neutral cost,” he said.
