The Editor doesn’t moderate this blog, 3 volunteers do, they are very lenient to provide you a free speech space but if it’s just deranged abuse or putting words in bloggers mouths to have a pointless argument, we don’t bother publishing.
EDITORS NOTE: – By the way, here’s a list of shit that will get your comment dumped. Sexist language, homophobic language, racist language, anti-muslim hate, transphobic language, Chemtrails, 9/11 truthers, Qanon lunacy, climate deniers, anti-fluoride fanatics, anti-vaxxer lunatics, 5G conspiracy theories, the virus is a bioweapon, some weird bullshit about the UN taking over the world and ANYONE that links to fucking infowar.

I really really really can’t understand why Labour keeps allowing its ‘officials’ to keep alienating a big part of its voter base.
Worse still, and surprisingly, one Munster (Mr Wood) seems intent on continuing the practice and covering up the bullshit and lies of one of the most contentious gummint agencies. I thought he had a better bullshit detector – apparently not.
We get what we deserve, as will the political class (in this space, going forward, rhubarb rhubarb).
Roll on October
I haven’t seen/heard a rant from Jonathan Pie for a while. I think he has built up a head of steam.

I saw Kohoutek in ’74? for a few lucky seconds with my own eyes. You might be so lucky with this comet.

Ten strangest unfinished developments. These should be a warning to politicians and leaders with their heads screwed on — don’t waste precious land and materials and people’s money. But try small, low-rise with proper spacing and air and land space around.
(See No. 10 – it has the futuristic design for useful, low-ground-impact buildings* where they can have firm foundations on sloping sections or where they could be flooded. We were trying them out in the 70’s here before the slow old buffers and flowers of the field got into the hands of the wily prestidigitators. ‘The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog…’)
The ones that have fallen into disarray here around Top of South (looks up Maori – Runga o te tonga nz or new officialese is Te Tau Ihu) are examples of owners or users being vivid dreamers wanting to be different who can run out of pocket money and credit and throw away their toys at will. Looked after the small houses would bee (sic) good for people who would manage to live simply, satisfactorily and enjoyably and grow some of their food etc. They could be happy and not run back into the arms of mammory, ahem mammon.

The head of the Pharmacy Guild says community pharmacies are shutting down thanks to the influx of Australian-owned discount chains.
Chief executive Andrew Gaudin warns in the long-term, this will reduce access to essential healthcare services – particularly for people outside the main centres.
My opinion – this was bound to happen. What a meretricious free market we have. Let the people decide, encourage them to judge by low cost having cut away the fat padding in higher prices, then limit their wages and increase user pays, with every wrong step being their fault because they were free to make their own choices. Then never allow them to make any choices, always be under check except with guns and getting killed by drowning or cold hypothermia etc. Pushed and pulled the public isn’t feted for what it does good and wrong-fotted all the time.
Let the market decide, the perfectly informed market who will make the sensible and correct choice for themselves (economic cant theory), and fine them beyond their capacity to pay like an adult hit on the hand with a ruler, or indeed on the bum. Then pass virtue signalling laws about not giving your kid a clip over the ear.
A correction to a term above – it should be ‘economic can’t theory!’
Government SHOULD be about stewardship of resources. Our current system doesn’t accomplish this very well.
Zero political donations. If you’re a worthy leader then the voting public will know you organically through your prior works.
Let’s get back to Stewardship of resources please?
