Cough, cough.
Oh look at that, TDBs predictions on organised crime were right all along…
Could a drug cartel form in NZ? There’s already been one attempt
From Pablo Escobar in Colombia to “El Chapo” Guzman in Mexico, drug cartels might seem like a particularly Latin American and Hollywood phenomena in running organised crime.
They corrupt and assassinate politicians, launder money, manufacture and transport killer drugs like Fentanyl and methamphetamine and kidnap and ransom civilians.
But they’re closer than you think – Latin American cartels are currently exporting methamphetamine and cocaine into New Zealand because of the high prices.
November’s announcement of Operation Depot saw Kiwi police catch 190kg of cocaine concealed inside a commercial boiler from Ecuador.
…Folks, you can either read it here first on TDB or wait years for the mainstream media to catch up.
As TDB has been pointing out for sometime, the Government are in danger from an escalating gang war caused by the unique event of over 1300 hardened Australian criminals being exported and renditioned back to NZ as 501s.
My argument is that the sudden forced importation of huge swathes of hardened Australian crims into the NZ criminal scene is a unique event and that they bring with them a level of violence unseen before in the NZ criminal underworld.
These new Australian connected gangs don’t use Chinese organised crime syndicates for their meth, they have Mexican cartel links who are ultra violent and produce a higher grade meth for a far cheaper price and that the explosion of organised hits and assassinations that have plagued the NZ criminal fraternity for the last 18 months is being driven by these new Australian imports while Pacific Island connections are increasingly becoming the driver of the new hunger for meth.
Speaking to sources, the HeadHunters are defending their HQ with steal plating after an attack on them in 2020.
The Right aren’t tough on crime, they are soft on facts.
We need to cauterise the number of 501s from Australia which has currently been negotiated, we need wrap around services for those 501s so that they don’t drift into crime and we need a specific prison where we keep these 501s inside when we do arrest them.
The problem we have had in NZ to date is that the SIS and GCSB intercept communications between the 501 syndicates and the South American Cartels, but instead of passing that intelligence onto local police to use, we’ve been sending it up the food chain to the NSA.
Chippy has stopped this and demanded that intel be sent to local police to action and that’s why we’ve seen the jump in arrests targeting distribution networks.
We urgently need to stamp this out because the Cartels use counter intelligence level sophistication that trumps our local Police force.
We should have moved on this a lot faster.
Increasingly having independent opinion in a mainstream media environment which mostly echo one another has become more important than ever, so if you value having an independent voice – please donate here.

New Zealand is in the perfect position to limit drug importation – we’re living on isolated islands. However, the place is wide open for drug runners. In a recent OIA request it was revealed that less than 5% of shipping containers are X ray scanned and to my knowledge there isn’t a single container scanner in the South Island. I’ve never seen a full body scanner at Auckland airport whereas I’ve been through them twice when passing through Brisbane.
The social and financial cost of illegal drugs is so vast, it would seem to me that spending some money on equipment and people at the border would make a lot of sense.
Its crazy considering the drug sniffing dogs, explosives swabs, police wandering around with weapons, AI camera system, behaviour monitoring staff, full body scanners ,xray of my bag and 101ml of liquid (that wasnt in the right duty free bag which somehow makes it legit which ends getting thrown out) at Sydney airport.
How many times does it need to be said, Michael and Jacinda just say “No To 501s”. Stand up to the aussies dont accept them transporting their convicts here
The law is the law and even Jacinda cannot get it changed .These people are not Australia they are NZ so for better or worse we are forced to take them back. They send people home to other countries as well and have been doing it for years .I had a migrant friend sent back to the UK after committing a crime . NZ deport citizens of other countries in in just the same fashion .We may not be as hard as Australia but we do send people back to their homes .A well documented case is Sroubek who has been fighting his case for years but he is finally going .
So where’s all the cheap high quality Charlie?
Parnell, ponsonby, Herne bay, and epsom. That’s where.
I realise you have to put yourself out there @Martyn in the media if you need to get attention and offer a view that differs from what’s now accepted dogma.
The record already shows you’re the cat’s whisker on a number of issues. IMHO, just make sure you don’t let the ego overwhelm the humility. God knows there’s enough of that – Preslands and lumbering old Prentices, most of talk back radio, and many in the televisuals as examples.

This is stuff that resonates and some of which I didn’t know. I have been worried about our slack thinking about drugs and crime generally. A shrug and an attitude of ‘the peasants are revolting, or perhaps feral’ seems to come up top stop practical ‘treatment’ methods.
So well set out Martyn. This bit hits home.
