I am enjoying a Terry Pratchett version of the economic system in his book Making Money. I’ll put up a few titbits. Retired people should not be pushed to the side and all their skills lost, and their sense of purpose and importance. It’s not easy being grey to paraphrase Kermit the Frog. Marilyn Waring of National had the right idea about unpaid work decades ago but the smart alecs and ignoramuses with rusty brains in Wellington couldn’t absorb her ideas.

But thinking about ants – I see that yellow crazy ants are in Australia and usually come in through ports. As we have tourists swarming, using our systems – buses etc, and bringing covid, it will only be a matter of time before we get these ants here also. Pollies can’t act to prevent ratshit weeds and insects coming to NZ as they have tied a knot in the blood supply that goes to their heads, and those of their administrative arms.
