The Editor doesn’t moderate this blog, 3 volunteers do, they are very lenient to provide you a free speech space but if it’s just deranged abuse or putting words in bloggers mouths to have a pointless argument, we don’t bother publishing. There’s no point complaining to Bomber.
EDITORS NOTE: – By the way, here’s a list of shit that will get your comment dumped. Sexist language, homophobic language, racist language, anti-muslim hate, transphobic language, Chemtrails, 9/11 truthers, Qanon lunacy, climate deniers, anti-fluoride fanatics, anti-vaxxer lunatics, 5G conspiracy theories, the virus is a bioweapon, some weird bullshit about the UN taking over the world and ANYONE that links to fucking infowar.

Can I just say, a bit disgusted with all the war porn over on The Standard of late. And what appears to be the active encouragement by the moderators to promote it.
Can I just say – do yourself a favour, and stay away from TS.
The lumbering great oxen that claims to be the best programmer in the World is actually a bit of a wanker.
There are better spaces to indulge in (in this internet ecosystem – going forward).
-There’s Concert FM’
-There’s smoothjazz.com in Monterey where you an avail yourself of a listening loft
-there’s even multiple Schizoid channels out of Mumbai ( Schizoid.in:8000/chill ) for example-or whatever the hell the link is
Hey OwT the TS programmer deserves accolades for sticking at the task and providing an area for bruised and hopeful Labour people to gather and sing kumbyyah? or such. And come up with some Green ideas and feel they have found a Labour home.
It is important that NZ people discuss politics widely and informatively and try to close the sinkhole of public thinking of the 20th century. So somewhere for Labour to call together their cheerleaders is great though their prowess shines more often by their own judgment.
The Great Programmer has a solid background in some disciplines and may assess himself satisfactory on a seasoned overview. He also is driven to extreme irritation – but civility to the point of passivity doesn’t produce what he manages – ‘faint heart never won fair lady’ as has been said in polite society. He is not always polite for sure.

Can NZ authorities act unilaterally to stop private fireworks at any time without going to the country and asking them (us) what we want, and whether we care?
Decision and delegation are sort of close in the dictionary, and also in the ‘d’ section is dunderhead, damned, distorted, deluded – so many appropriate d-words. Cameras, people are looking, photo ops, put on serious expression, say ‘this is something we need to control. That’s the way you do it, ‘money for nothing and chicks for free’ at present, but we need more.
So please health and safety or whoever is the delegated dilatory disastrous departed (ment) let’s reduce to only public displays carried out by local Councils, not some trust or charity pretending they are community leaders and this to start from year 2024, Nov 5, and public displays at other times kept to a minimum. It’s good for the environment you know even if you think privately bugger people and animals.

RIP to a simple human caught up in the tangle of civilised powerful human pretensions.
Iranian Mehran Karimi Nasseri returned to the airport terminal where he had spent so much
of his life to die.
Born in 1945 in the Iranian province of Khuzestan, Nasseri flew to Europe from Iran in search of his mother in the late 1980s.
He had been expelled from London, Amsterdam and Berlin for not having the correct immigration documents. Unable to go anywhere else, he made the airport’s 2F Terminal his home…Roissy Charles de Gaulle airport his home in 1988.
And remembering another lone man who died recently affected by similar intransigence of others.
