  1. I see Baron Luxons’ mask has come of again. I am referring to the big smirk on his face when one of his MPs was slagging of about the Matariki name. Come 2023 election I will be out there encouraging our Maori whanau and others to vote and it wont be for the Baron, he is a two faced hypocrite pretending to care deeply but his actions show otherwise. I am looking forward to seeing that smirk wiped of his face when he loses the next election.

  2. One particular slip from a politician can ruin what could have been a beautiful relationship.
I felt that way after people-caring David Shearer chose to slag off at someone who looked working class on their roof doing some checking up.

Now Louisa Wall goes – people-caring? But first the rugby tackle approach. But though it isn’t good to go independent when part of a party (and perhaps thinking of becoming a party of the third part), following the traditional route for new legislation seemed to end up in all the cul de sacs possible – a tiresome, and demoralising business I would think. So perhaps one has to reach for the stars and shake up the system. The idea of having time. even a century to work in is a pipe-dream – without the pipe, that’s been abandoned already)k

Following this Independent approach to its logical conclusion, Wall became a vigorous user of private members’ bills to make progress in Parliament – essentially rejecting the use of the Labour Party as the primary way to create change. This meant eschewing the traditional route of championing a cause, winning over the party, and then campaigning amongst the public for support to make the reform.

And completely different – abuse on the internet of female MPs.

Allegations of bullying by a high-ranking Maori female MP.
(It’s a tough world out there, even Maori to Maori on occasions.)
