I was always a Rage Against The Machine type of music lover so I never paid the work of Britney Spears much attention, but what always struck me was the vile way she was pursued constantly by a cruel media.
The whole thing seemed infinitely ugly and I wasn’t interested in the mob hounding of her.
The recent explosion of attention around the vicious way she was portrayed and her fathers legal control over her resonates today with the post MeToo identity politics clique because a rich white female entertainer controlled by a man demands 100% wall to wall coverage.
The point I’d like to make is that South Park, the often maligned cultural satire icon that all boys and men love, actually made this brutal point well before the current virtue signalling.
In 2008 their infamous “Britney’s New Look” aired and highlighted the grotesque hounding of Britney well before it was hashtag popular.
Watching everyone fall over themselves to virtue signal now when South Park, a satire the woke detest, was there first 13 years ago is amusing.
One hopes that Britney is able to overturn this outrageous abuse of legal control by her father, but the planet is hurtling towards climate crisis oblivion, so don’t let this take up too much time please.
Increasingly having independent opinion in a mainstream media environment which mostly echo one another has become more important than ever, so if you value having an independent voice – please donate here.

It was delicious seeing all the navel gazing from wokewood over the past 24 hours. Fucking hypocrites.
