The problems have been brewing for years now and getting worse and worse, partly because people have become so brainwashed here on jobs, jobs, jobs – if the job pays less than the dole and the DPB with all the taxpayer wage top ups and benefits added to the ‘job’ who are we kidding!

WHO were late in calling the pandemic apparently because they were that they were frightened of offending China, and thus having cosy meetings with President Xi Jinping during the crisis when it was downplayed initially.

This would not surprise me but then New Zealand’s consistent under reporting of unemployment over the years, for example, does not surprise me either. And if anyone is naive enough to think its only the Chinese who will get creative as this thing progresses, well what can I say.

I come to this blog late because anti-China sentiment seems to be stopping us from thinking clearly about the ‘Life of Virus’ story. Bomber’s evidence is not conclusive. Geoff Lye’s comment I have read elsewhere in media and probably holds water.
With the move away from level 4, we should be looking to China to see how they are coping. We followed them into lockdown. Shouldn’t we be following them out of it? WE followed the right trend, are we now going against the right trend? How accurate is our testing in finding potential cases/hot spots? Is my uncertainty about the right path shared by you, TDB actors?
In the meantime, anything Chinese is rubbished by lots of punters. Not helpful. Positive comment here like Cushla and Reason point us to reality.
