  1. Bravo Frank Macskasy, a riveting summation of what we despair about. You always impress with well researched arguments, this tops the year, and adds irony/black humour to your posts.

  2. Thank goodness for the team at Daily Blog to keep us informed during summer Frank, donation on its way.
‘Neo-libs, free marketeers, globalists – please look the other way’. Too kind, I say ‘Look away and f#@k off’.

    1. Not “nitpicking” at all, Nitrium, and yes, “sloppy”. Yet again a reason why one should never proofread ones own material.

      I appreciate the heads-up.

  3. Ditto to everyone’s comments. A good summary of the year. And you’ve fairly looked at not only what needed to be covered, but how much space to give them Frank.

The thing about Huawei is interesting. More so because as far as I’m aware no other blogger or msm in this country has assessed the situation to the degree you have Frank and realised the paucity of evidence against the Chinese firm. That ex-CIA director’s “evidence” is about as credible as the evidence Bush presented to “prove” Saddam Hussein has weapons of mass destruction. Bullshit evidence.

There’s heaps more that happened last year, ongoing Brexit, the orange-vest protests in France, the Ukraine, etc, but you’d end up writing a book, Frank. All in all a good read.

  4. RNZ to have polls to ‘add to an overall better picture of our political environment’? Or we could forget about polls and just get a life.

Huawei seems to be Michael Hayden’s WMD. Have they been found yet?

  5. I thought the issue with Huawei was that they do not allow back doors for NSA. The scuttlebutt was that they were being kept out of as many 5 eyes countries as possible because they were secure not because they weren’t.

  6. Who do you think will be the next PM on the left? After Jacinda? Also do you think that any of the Green Party MPs have the leadership skills and potential to lead? I believe Chloe S could.

  7. “The best tv is now behind paywalls; Netflix, Lightbox, Neon, HBO, etc.” – I go to Youtube for international news, documentaries etc, and my local paper for local news
