Labour scrambling to repair Party List home goal

Last week Labour managed to make these three look like a credible Opposition.

It’s lovely watching Labour’s proxies scramble to repair the damage they caused themselves by not talking to their own Maori Caucus about their list appointments even their Chief of Staff is on Twitter trying to tell anyone who would listen that this represents a great step forward for Maori…

…if only such attention to detail had been extended to before the list was released eh?

Why doesn’t the Labour Party just go the whole hog and buy large red noses with comically huge ill-fitting shoes and officially become clowns?

This cock up not only made Andrew Little look weaker, it did the Maori Party’s job for them FFS.

I am reading Hillary Clinton’s new book Shattered: Inside Hillary Clinton’s Doomed Campaign. One of the fascinating insights was how the Democratic Party became wedded to their data mining and believed they could win based on the stats and numbers. What Hillary Clinton’s team forgot was that politics isn’t rational, it’s emotional and while their big data conclusions were telling them one rational thing, a completely irrational thing was actually occurring.

What Labour Party Data is telling the Labour Party

Similarly the Labour Party of NZ have under the awful Rob Salmond become just as chained to their use of the same types of big data.  Let’s hope for all our sake Labour doesn’t suffer the same fate as Hillary Clinton.

It’s neat that Labour proxies are running around trying to clean up their mistake, it would be neater that the bloody mistake hadn’t occurred in the first place.

Last week, the Government made 4 lies, we should have spent the entire week debating those lies, instead it was Labour’s incompetence and the Party’s refusal to back Andrew Little that became the story.

Sure the Corporate Media are to blame for that focus, but it wouldn’t have happened in the first place if the Leadership were on their toes.

Labour need to be far sharper than this if they intend to lead a Government.
