…Trump needs to win 7 out of every 10 white males to win the election, no US President has ever done that before, but Trump’s deplorable sexual abuse boasting is aimed at that angry white male sense of a loss of privilege.

Most men are in a bubble when it comes to the abuse of women, and the explosion of social media has enabled women to let them know in no uncertain terms how vile they find the current systems of power. This has in turn sparked a ‘not all men’ backlash and Trump’s vileness is a cultural flare to those men.

I want Trump to lose because I genuinely fear the world he would usher in, but the ocean of deeply held misogyny is far larger than our social media echo chambers knowledge.

  1. They used to say “we live in a mans world”

    So that has now changed dramatically!!!

    So now women need to share the power not own it.

    As men did before when it was a mans world, they held the power.

    If Women don’t share equally the power today, I as a man fear nothing will be gained, else they will only repeat the mistakes man has made during the “Mans world”

    I come from a time during the 1940’s-70’s when the saying and belief was “Females were the gentler sex” and I hope we don’t loose that nicety that the older generations never had this sexist storm going on nor maybe I’m just an old fashioned bloke whatever that means today.

      I fear Clinton and Clinton more than Trump. Trump at least wants peace with Russia and in the Middle East

      I think Trump says a lot of things for effect like a showman/ comedian but underneath is a shrewd deal maker . The fact that he listens to General Flynn is a point in his favour

            He says he’ll bomb ISIS back to the stone age (impossible), stop wars (create more power vacuums) and invest billions more into the military (when he’s stopping wars? WTF?). He’s an incoherent lunatic and he couldn’t contradict himself more if he tried. He lies non-stop. He’s going to send the fossil fuel industry into overdrive, screw over ethnic minorities and round up illegal immigrants. His demonetisation of Muslims will create more terrorism. And Putin is playing him – Eastern Europe will suffer and the EU will have to deal with it.

            How on earth could anyone remotely close to the left fall for this nonsense!

    I like that choice of words. You didn’t say “I want Hillary to win because…” presumably because… you can’t finish that sentence(?). There is NOTHING that a Hillary presidency is going to do to solve ANY of the world’s issues and we all know it. The 2016 US election being a choice between “the lesser of two evils” has never been a more apt description.

    • The future looks so bleak we all now fear what is left for our youth today after we failed in our stewardship of this last 70 yrs after the end of WW2.

  3. Trump is certainly NOT a paragon of virtue with his treatment of women. So what was his point of having Bill Clinton accusers present? To take the heat away from himself? Or, “Yeah, I’m bad, but check out this guy.”
    Maybe it would’ve made a little sense (MAYBE) if the Don was running against Bill, but he’s not. He’s running against Bill’s wife(?) Hillary.
    Just another case of the pot calling the kettle black.

    Whether there is something to this allegations or not, it does not matter, the damage will be done. One wonders again, why after so many years, do they suddenly come forward.

    But this is how it goes. Trump is facing a situation that does not look good. Few women will vote for him, leaving perhaps the “hot blooded” mostly white, disgruntled folk, who have no other heroes left.

Perhaps NZ would be well advised to review its relationship with the US, White House, Pentagon, NSA and so forth, but the government here has NO guts to do it, it is a self serving little mercenary government, same as the SHIT media here is totally subservient to US and UK and Australian commercial interests, we never get the truth anyway, based on what they “report”
