Right wing fuckwits toast the end of clean water

I’ve never been to Hawkes Bay, so I have no idea of the collective IQ of this region, but are the people of Hawke’s Bay blind stupid?

Like, is tying shoelaces difficult for most people living there? Do most of the inhabitants of the Hawke’s Bay go into a panic and start sacrificing lambs during eclipses? Are there only 3 books in the local library?

I’m asking these questions because the people of the Hawke’s Bay are either the dumbest in NZ, or they are all fundamentalist masochists.

How else can you explain them allowing their own City Council to poison 4000 of them because of the intensive farming the Council has allowed and no one be held to account? How else can you explain the people of Hastings allowing their Council to give millions of litres of water away free to over seas companies only to then have to buy their own fucking water back from those very same foreign companies?

‘We’re buying back water that foreign companies get for free’ – tension in Hawke’s Bay building over water bottling industry

How are they so mind bogglingly dumb? I’m a big believer of reaping what you sow, and if the people of Hawke’s Bay are so stupid to allow their Council to poison them with cow shit in their water supply, give away their water for free while then having to buy it back, well what can one say?

There ain’t no cure for idiocy.

Don’t blame John Key for being a fascist, blame the people who vote for him. The people of the Hawke’s Bay have brought this upon themselves.

  1. Come on, I would not put collective blame on a group of people, simply for living in a region where they are getting the wool pulled over their faces.

They are at present waking up to realities.

This should be seen as an opportunity to encourage the disgruntled people in Hawke’s Bay to challenge the government, and to cast a vote for the opposition, even if it is perhaps just for NZ First.

There is much anger indeed, at what goes on there.

But what some may blame them for, that can be what we can blame the majority of voters in this country for, a degree of blind faith and blissful ignorance, or sheer stupidity in some cases.

Perhaps the tide is finally turning, they can no longer deny they have been hood winked.

  2. Councils are rotten to the core everywhere, and do what they like -including continuously breaching NZ statutes. And there is NO accountability. That is why is why more and more people view councils as akin to cancers, and have completely given up on the political process and are sitting back, waiting for the inevitable implosion.

‘There ain’t no cure for idiocy.’

You’re right. And the current political climate fosters particularly high levels of idiocy. Apparently, the more idiotic everything becomes, the easier it is to promote idiocy.

  3. Were the people of Hawke’s Bay up to speed at any time on this one? Probably not. NZ Inc slithers like a serpent. If every New Zealander stood up and said in unison, we want and demand our assets returned, then what? Nothing. And we would have our assets. It’s called People Power.

  4. I would tell Aucklanders, just wait and see what you will reap, for what you sowed over recent years, it will be an even greater disaster. If some think they leaky building crisis is over, or was the greatest challenge they have had (besides of population growth and housing affordability), then you will all have another think coming.

Auckland Council is dancing with big and medium size business, and that is the same mantra that they follow now, same as central government, that business investment is needed, to create jobs, jobs and more jobs. But by doing so they do away with rules and morals and sell the environmental standards out, as that seems necessary to “enable” business growth and other growth.

Besides of endless crap new buildings, built in a rush, we will have more costs for the same or even worse “services”, we will have huge debt to pay for generations, we will have smaller homes for many that cannot afford their own villa in the suburbs, and we will have more poverty, pollution, crime, shortage of water and crowded roads, streets, beaches and places all over.

Bus and train fares will incessantly increase, antisocial behaviour will be common, more rules, bylaws and surveillance cameras and security guards will be everywhere, and we will have another hell-hole on earth, like many other large, failed cities in the world.

  5. Two points….when the people of Havelock North voted in National, and their National friendly Council, they thought that the poisoned, degraded water was for the people down the road.
    Not them.
In that regard they feel betrayed. However they will still vote National who at the end of the day are taking excellent care of their bank accounts, investments and rental properties.

Secondly..”Are there only 3 books in the local library?”

The selling of books from Hawkes Bay libraries has been going on, Scorched Earth style for the last year or so.
The Libraries have transformed into Internet ‘Hubs’ where the local WINZ office sends the unemployed of Hastings to undertake the endless pointless tasks that WINZ seems to think up. The Librarians are now spending large amounts of time manning the printers and shushing the unfortunates who are pleading with call centre staff as they try and navigate unnavigable Government Sites.

Shelves are now to be only ever half full, as this ‘looks tidier’. I have also been assured that the absence of books is due to the fact that everyone uses an E-reader. They seem unswayed by my assurances that book sales are on the rise. After all, as the owner of a bookshop, what would I know. Or Amazon for that matter.

    • I am waiting for John Key’s release of his biography “My Victorious Struggle”, in the next few years, that will be stocked in every library in whole batches of issues, also at discount prices at the main book shops all over New Zealand and its territories.

It will be his grand finale of his rule, leaving us a historic book for generations to come and study, how to work hand in glove for Wall Street, the US Reserve and the US military industrial complex.

He will share his private moments with all the big knobs of the planet, the fireside chats with Barack, Angela and David, and what his vision is for the world.

Long live our Esteemed Dear Leader, Kim John Key, for Eternity!

Who needs any other books, send them working, that is more important, as the hungry pockets of the bosses desire to be filled with profits.

  6. They’re no different than the majority of NZ. We have, after all, voted in The John Key 3 (going on 4) times now. I have long held (at least 15 years) held that Democracy itself is a scam. The whole system was merely set up to give an ILLUSION of choice. This of course works out very well for the politicians/leaders, who have zero fear of being literally beheaded as was their deserved fate for systemic failure and/or corruption in days long gone. I’m still waiting for a genuine bona fide revolution in a democratic country – i.e. one where the population has seen through the smoke and mirrors of “democracy” and realise it was never there to serve THEM, but rather to serve the leadership.

    • I didn’t vote for him. Not once. I was one of those dreary nay-sayers who, prior to the 2008 election, tediously lectured friends and family on the habitual mendacity of the National Party, and how if they were allowed to seize the reins of power once more, history would simply repeat itself to the detriment of the country. And now I get to sit here, all smug and stuff, because I was right.

Except I’m not feeling smug. Just depressed. But there is one thing of which I am certain — I’d rather gouge out both my eyeballs with a cake fork than ever cast a vote for the National Party.

  7. As a 16 year old living in the hawkes bay, I’m pretty sure I can truthfully say that most people here, over the age of 25 are complete retards. Most people, mind.

    • Maybe the reason is that the smart, fit and able leave the limited opportunities there, to move to the big smoke, where there are more jobs, although often also not that great ones, at least some jobs.

The farmers and small business owners stay behind, and the only jobs going will be fruit picking, farm hand and various low paid jobs with little opportunity. Hence they moan about “Kiwis” not wanting to work, so they have to get in all those new migrants to do the cheap and unpleasant, low paid work.

A depressed region usually suffers this fate, hence the ones left behind are not the ones that are adventurous, challenge things and question things, it is the dull, stubborn, unenlightened and stoic staying, who are by my experience also often not the brightest we have.

  8. My group of friends have always opposed the stupid corrupt that are in management, they are gluttons and pigs that drink too much alcohol and live for today types of people. The health system here gets more funding when things go wrong so they super charge and give/lend money out to stupid business and enable them to cause harm so the Health system gets more funding. It is a donkey chance the dangling carrot type of finance management that has ruined every nation on the planet. Things need to change FAST, banks need to lend to people whom do not drink alcohol or smoke anything, then NZ can progress and build upon its strengths! We are over it.

  9. Counter productive to blame the voters – this is dirty politics where MSM, business and cronies control the message.

Also the AVERAGE IQ is 100, and we have had our education system and independent thought eroded for decades by Rogernomics, neoliberalism and nearly a decade of the Natz.

Should you really blame stupid people or should you hold the government and councillors to account who are supposed to lead the stupid people?

In addition there is massive group think going on in NZ, with the left as well as the right. The left love the punishment and blames messages (middle NZ, the rich, the far left Mana types seem to hate the far right Blarites and vice versa, then those in the middle are sneered at as being middle NZ), The right love to blame and punish (Bennies, Maori).

Maybe a few more peace and love messages to all who vote for progressive politics might get more engagement and unity.
