GUEST BLOG: Arthur Taylor – Corrections should have listened to me in 2003

Everyone has no doubt heard about the latest monumental cock-up by Corrections over prisoners’ release dates.

I’ve actually got some sympathy for Corrections, because it all started with a Court of Appeal decision refusing to accept from me the very argument the Supreme Court has now upheld was correct.

IF the Court of Appeal had accepted my argument as correct back in 2003, Corrections would not have been unlawfully imprisoning people for the last 13 years.

Hopefully, in the light of Supreme Courts’ ruling yesterday they should now reassess my case from 2003 and hopefully pay me some compensation (!)

(which of course I would donate to Starship Hospital as I usually do with money I win from Corrections).

  1. Is the desire to be right even stronger in government departments than in the normal population or is it that government departments believe they are god.
