Andrew Little shows real leadership on detained NZers

Andrew-Little

Andrew Little has shown John Key what real leadership looks like over the 200 detained NZers being held in deplorable detention camps by the Australians.

Key says we must beg Turnbull for mercy, Andrew Little wants to visit the NZers on Christmas Island himself to see exactly what is going on and speak to NZers face to face.

This is what real political leadership looks like. Not getting down on your knees and begging Australia to reconsider which is Key’s solution, but asking to go straight there and meet with our citizens one on one to ascertain exactly what’s going on.

This is Andrew Little at his best.

Let’s hope this courage extends to the TPPA.

      • I would say that Little has been taken aside and been given some serious home truths, dead rats to swallow if you will, instructed that not supporting the TPPA isn’t an option.
Chris Trotter laid it out the other day:

Even more seriously, it would expose the true intentions of New Zealand’s “friends” and “allies”. It is the duty of the Deep State to make sure that such potentially catastrophic political revelations never happen.
With Labour and National – the two parties indispensable to the formation of stable government in New Zealand – both singing from the same TPP song-sheet, that fraction of the New Zealand electorate opposed to the TPP will find itself reduced to voting for a party (or parties) too small to successfully negotiate their country’s exit from the agreement.
To paraphrase Henry Kissinger: The Deep State doesn’t see why it should stand by and watch New Zealand’s membership of the TPP put at risk because of the irresponsibility of its own people.

We are watching what happens when BIG power is at play.

  1. And that’s just the sort of bold initiatives that this country wants to see.

    Good on him !!!

All power to Mr Little .

The other ingratiating pony tail puller is getting all a bit too old , now.

    Time for a change.

    Just like Northland.

    • Erm…just to clarify…the pony tail puller is getting a bit ‘ old ‘ as in – the joke is now old. As in his 3rd term in office and his embarrassing antics and lies .

      Enjoy.

    • 1000% WK,

Key is a spent force, today in parliament even the normally rambunctious Carter as speaker had to force him to moderate his overdone ranting and raving.

He is going bald ha ha ha.

    • Agree and concur with Wild Katipo.
Andrew Little is a genuine and honorable Kiwi man of Principle. For Key to continue with his stupid broken record of excuses: (1) blame the Labour government, (2) blame the GFC, (3) blame the Christchurch earthquake, this is not flying anymore.

Pony tail puller, how would he feel if somebody does the same to a member of his family? How would any genuine Kiwi feel? How would you personally feel? Yes, you reading my comment 🙂

We have to be a little bit more patient as Little is not a bully like most National MPs. Most Labour, Green and First MPs are as genuine and care about Aotearoa. United, Kiwis will clean up Key and National’s mess, and, rest assured, it will take at least few decades to clean.

      Watch the space!

More exposures will soon be released and available in the public domain.

  2. This is leadership?

    It’s called ‘posturing’

The Aussies can do pretty much what they like and nothing Andy Little can do will make a jot of difference.

    • hehehee…can if Key gets the boot soon…oh yes…those Aussie banks?

      – might have a few succinct messages faxed to them about a few pertinent change of policy’s…

Nothing lasts forever my little munchkin and its the same in politics..

    • IIRC The Australians have put into law that journalists and workers can’t report on anything happening at these camps. If Little goes there with a journalist or two than I think it will shine a light on a very dark place. I think it is a great chance to let Australians know what is being done to people in their name and what is being done to sour the relationship between the ANZ in ANZACs.

      • You’re forgetting the current Australian government was elected at least partly because they offered a solution to the ‘boats problem’.

You may not like their solution (and I’m not a particular fan myself) but it is vastly popular within the Australian electorate because it has worked.

Same goes for expelling recidivist criminals with Kiwi passports. I am confident a survey of Aussie voters would give this new interpretation of their policy a resounding thumbs-up.

Bottom line – Aussies don’t care what you think and will do as they please.

      • @ mpledger – agree. However re the following statement you make –

“If Little goes there with a journalist or two than I think it will shine a light on a very dark place.”

Any msm contracted journalist would need to seek permission of the hierarchy, which in turn would require FJK’s permission to accompany Andrew Little to Christmas Island! After all let’s face it, FJK owns NZ msm. As such he expects it to dance to his tune! So I doubt any credible journalist will be reporting from the deportation camp, perhaps with the exception of Jon Stephenson, or maybe RNZ’s John Campbell.

I say this because FJK isn’t the least bit interested in doing something constructive for the Kiwi detainees! He doesn’t want to cause ructions with the Australian government, something which might threaten his own flawed egotistical image!

    • Posturing is getting hand selected media, journalists and political analysts travelling on a junket with you , secretively visiting N.Z. soldiers but relaying pictures and stories on prime time television to appease people who can’t think for themselves. All very soft posturing.
No Little once again shows leadership from his days where he fights for those with no voice. It’s also called humility. Something Key will never ever know.

    • When it comes to political posturing no-one comes close to John Key. His visit to Iraq had everything to do with photo ops and political posturing and nothing to do with anything else. You want posturing Andrew then follow the path blindly to the right, as you do so well, and you will see nothing else.

  3. If you’re talking about flip-flops, Sandpoint, Key is a master at it…

No rise in GST – GST raised to 15%.

TPPA will not affect Pharmac – Pharmac will have to pay a bit more for medicines.

    There’s more.

    • No, I try to give people the benefit of the doubt at first. And to be honest, I think leading a party in the state Labours in would be a thankless task, so I’m prepared to be generous.
