Look.
I get it.
Everyone is busy and distracted, for most of us so far this year we feel like this…

…and I appreciate you hate Jacinda, da Trans and da Maries and global warming is a hoax and vaccines killed everyone and Covid was fake – I appreciate all of that, but shouldn’t y’all want Simeon Brown’s immediate sacking for cutting the IT budgets that led to the incompetence of one of NZs largest medical hacks?
Simeon’s nickname around the Cabinet table is apparently ‘Golden Balls’ because everything he touches turns to gold, which is terrifying in itself because it highlights how someone with all the false confidence of an evangelical Christian man child can be construed as competent by the majority of the National Party Caucus.
I think Monkey Boy is in real trouble here folks, the hack is so extreme, so incompetent and so egregious that he is going to have to step down.
Simeon cut the IT budgets, and the Union has the receipts…
Minister Must Confront Govtโs Own Role In Weakening Health IT Security โ PSA
The PSA says Health Minister Simeon Brownโs review into the ManageMyHealth cyber security breach announced today must confront the Governmentโs own actions in downsizing the very IT workforce responsible for protecting patient data in our public health system.
The breach, which has compromised the private health information of up to 126,000 New Zealanders, is a chilling reminder of what happens when you fail to invest in secure, modern IT systems.
โThe Minister talks about โbig wake up callsโ and โhighest standardsโ โ but where was his concern when his Government was downsizing the Digital Services team at Health NZ?โ said Fleur Fitzsimons, National Secretary for the Public Service Association Te Pลซkenga Here Tikanga Mahi.
โThe Minister needs to be open to admitting the Government got this all wrong. There is no shame in that. The stakes are too high.
โThe risks are not confined to ManageMyHeatlh โ hackers are getting more sophisticated every day and it was only in 2021 that a ransomware attack exposed patient data at Waikato DHB.
โAny review must consider the Governmentโs own actions in cutting IT staff and failing to invest in digital services to protect patient information managed by Health NZ.
…Dr Bryce Edwards is doing a special feature on how the medical contracts were awarded, the cut backs Simeon embarked upon and who is at fault and my suspicion is that report os going to be so damaging Simeon is forced to stand down.
I think “Golden Balls‘ is about to get kicked in the balls.
First political scalp of 2026?
Increasingly having independent opinion in a mainstream media environment which mostly echo one another has become more important than ever, soย if you value having an independent voice โ please donate here.

We want him to be sacked. We want Luxon to take responsibility for all their horrible failures and nasty governing. But narcissists don’t do that. They never admit fault.
We would like the general population to be educated in how to recognise a narcissist.
Honest education is a good start in the battle against fuckwittery
sinking ferries
sinking health care
stinking school lunches
sinking population
sinking job numbers
the list goes on

Trevor, you mean, he thinks you’re silly if you don’t vote back in the worst government in history who delivered failure after failure.
I believe the “Miniature of Health” was advised of the Data hack more than 11 days ago. And so it looks like he sat on it for almost one week.
Those impacted by the hacking have ONLY just recently been informed by mail. The time delay is disgusting.
That means that whilst Slithering Brown(as I call the Runt of the NZ National Party Litter)has again shown his total Incompetence on Yet another Portfolio blunder.
I wish we could find a Pot-hole somewhere for him to crawl into. But he needs to have the Health Portfolio removed from him.
The Often Missing in Action part-time Prime Weakling that is Luxon has shown his Incompetence as well by not saying anything. He lack of a voice shows he condones Brown.
Blame therefore for this massive Breach rests on the shoulders of Brown, Luxon and probably the entire Incompetent Coalition government. Accountability MUST be held but I doubt Luxon has the Balls to sack Brown.
Lets remember this lot i.e the CoC and their Frequent Balls Up on election day.
Of course Simeon Brown should be sacked. He is totally out of touch with reality, out of his depth and frankly abysmal. I could recite many issues but the latest is his regime is supporting a person in a NZ group of pensioner units who is an alcoholic, does not qualify for being there, as unable to look after himself, has used over 20 ambulance call-outs in a year due to drunkeness, and abuses the Indian S/W staff. Whereas, Michael Wood was sacked due to a ‘controversy’ over shares, driven by the spiteful opposition. What he did pales into insignificance when you look at Brown’s track record to date. We all know that Luxon is the weakest PM NZ could ever have and his self-serving MP’s the most dangerously out of control! Time, Luxon, to start acing like a PM.
Another example of the fallacy of leaving it to the market to provide essential services. Ideally the state should have established a national medical database that serves the same functions as Manage My Health and My Indici. The same applies to the establishment of a national database that provides hospital services, so that all hospitals were on the same system and thus easily able to transfer data to each other.
Would the national medical database be similar to any of the other government IT procurement processes that take so long and cost so much that they are cancelled?
Funny, the medical database wasn’t hacked under the previous government and it’s IT procurement process. Not until this government made IT redundant did it all turn to shit. Par for the course for right wing governments.
