Gaza‘s death, injury and sickness totals continue to rise

Since dawn, Israeli gunfire and shelling from tanks have killed two and wounded six more people. The total number now killed in Gaza, since 7 October 2023, is now at least 70,667. The total wounded is now at least 171,151. The daily average number of men, women and children killed in Gaza is at least 88 and, that of those injured, is more than 213. A UN report states that, as of 14 January 2025, around 70% of those killed in Gaza were women and children.

Between 13 and 14 December, reports of airstrikes, shelling and gunfire continued, east and west of the so-called “Yellow Line.” In North Gaza, gunfire was reported east of Jabalya and Al Fallouja, killing one person, while airstrikes and naval fire were reported near the As Sudaniya area. In Gaza City, shelling and airstrikes reportedly hit At Tuffah and Az Zaitoun, including a strike near Al Nablusi Square that killed four people in a vehicle, including a senior Hamas commander, while one individual was killed and 25 others injured in the immediate area of the airstrike. In Deir al Balah governorate, shelling and helicopter fire were reported in the Al Bureij area, and a senior Hamas officer was reportedly killed in Al Maghazi. In Rafah, gunfire and airstrikes were reported in RafahCity, northern Rafah, and south-west of the Al Mawasi area, with naval fire reportedly injuring one person off the coast. Read more . . .

Israeli Army attacks – refugee camp: Jenin – the Israeli Army, firing live ammunition, continued its storming of the city and the refugee camp.
Israeli Army attacks – homes invaded – refugee camps: Tulkarem – Israeli forces, firing live ammunition, raided the city as well as the Tulkarem and Nur Shams refugee camps and invaded people’s homes.
Israeli Army attack – youngster killed: Bethlehem – 16:40, Israeli soldiers, firing live ammunition, raided the town of Tuqu’, killing a 16–year–old youth: Ammar Yasser Muhammad Ta’amra.
Home invasion, forced family evacuation and handover of property to settlers: Jerusalem – 09:30, the Israeli Occupation forced a woman, Umm Nasser al-Rajabi, and her sons to evacuate their home, seized possession of it and then handed it over to settlers.

Home invasion: Bethlehem – 03:00-04:50, the Israeli Army raided and searched the town of Tuqu’ and the home of the family of a person, Ammar Sabah, killed previously by Israeli forces.
Home invasion and vandalism by settlers – Israeli Army complicity: Hebron – After Israeli Occupation settlers had attacked the home of Saeed Al-Amour in Masafer Yatta, vandalising his property and destroying the fence surrounding it, the Israeli Army took prisoner the householder.
