The Klan Councils where 19th Century White Settler privilege prevails

Hobson’s Pledge, NZ Initiative, Campaign Company, Taxpayers’ Union and the Atlas Network have had a field day with their banjo twanging racist redneck jamboree campaign against Māori Wards…

Forty-two councils have held referendums on Māori wards – and 17 areas have voted to keep them, while 25 have voted to remove.

Māori have cultural memory of the first wave of white settler capitalist exploitation resource taking, they have the flax roots knowledge of what sustainability and environmental protection looks like, it is no wonder that international right wing think tanks always aim to attack indigenous rights first to enable the next generation of exploitative resource stripping.

That’s why the attack on Māori having representation has been so vicious and confronting, the Capitalists need to rark up racism to ensure they can continue to exploit the environment.

On the bright side, before 2022 we only had 3 Māori Wards and after this we now have 20, so that is progress and we can roll this back if we win 2026.

Working with Māori on local issues makes NZ stronger, not weaker but those Klan Councils that have dumped the Māori Wards need to be reminded constantly they are apart of Old Zealand, not New Zealand.

19th Century White Settler privilege prevails, for now

  1. Roger the Dodger Douglas said that if authority wants to make changes and bulldoze them through before people have occasion to think, then move fast. The bullfozing approach has been used on Maori Wards, but also follows the creed of keeping everyone unsettled, by making constant changes to systems so nothing can be compared with any earlier thing – it’s always apples to oranges.

Confusion, a sense of uncertainty, and gradually hopelessness, that’s the name of the game, and it is a game to the money-players, and movers and shakers who work for bizness-corpse. Whether we majority of people like it or not we are included in the mass marathon. I’m not happy – Kierkegaard – …And If I am compelled to take part in it, where is the director? I want to see him.

  2. Geez why are so many pakeha such dumb arses. Its one person for fucksakes with one vote providing a Maori voice to all matters no need to feel threatened. Some one with multiple houses in different areas can vote in all the areas now this isn’t fair. How long have our colonizer control local governments.

  3. I was like that at the Parliament camp.
    “Take me to your leader.”

It was Peters MADE me go wasn’t it.

  4. The simple solution would be to require third party promoters to disclose their donors. Those skinny and spineless racists would cower back into their boltholes.
