While RNZ sings, ‘Always look on the bright side of life’ for their middle class audience…
Five reasons to feel positive about the New Zealand economy
It’s been a year of grim economic news – unemployment has been up, [It’s been a year of grim economic news – unemployment has been up, GDP down and consumer confidence weak GDP downand consumer confidence weak.
But nothing lasts forever and economists say there are a number of reasons to feel positive about the economic outlook right now.
…Economic red flags signal Global market crash…
Bank of England warns of growing risk that AI bubble could burst
Possibility of ‘sharp market correction has increased’, says Bank’s financial policy committee
…it’s not just Bank of England, it’s also Jamie Dimon…

Jamie Dimon, chair of JPMorgan Chase, said he was ‘far more worried than others’ about serious market correction
…AI hysteria is propping the entire market up with a bubble that if it pops will cause an enormous global crash.
With Trump’s ongoing tariff threats, ongoing climate change destruction, insurance premiums soaring because of that climate change destruction and geopolitical tensions rising, anything could trip that pop.

Yes, but she’s no grandad.
Could Nicola not find a single kiwi female to be reserve bank govenor?
Labour is probably responsible for the AI bubble somehow.
Listening to the drivel that comes out of the mouths of Luxon and Willis is nauseating. Willis is now saying things aren’t that bad and not much worse than two years ago! Two years ago she was saying it was a disaster. How can anyone give her an ounce of credibility? They’re are an embarrassment.
Her biggest problem is what message to send clothes-wise. Life is that simple. Get Amanda onto it. Then our RNZ.
Do you think her undies are too tight
No her HALO is too tight.
And stuff prints the same bull shit daily as well .Clearly they donated to the two idiots last election and now Malpass has to justify his wasted donations .
I notice the last reveiw this week excludes AAC loss to make the books look better .
Yeah but … no but.
Has anyone thought of the latest reports of the econo-political omni shambles as being part of a wider, longer, higher and deeper plot plus added plans schemes and cons?
Managed even modestly our AO/NZ couldn’t help but make money and it must be very difficult for those few multi-billionaires, multi-millionaires and now australian owned banks to hide the truths from us. There’s only 50,000 farmers and 5.250 million of us in total and yet we still make huge money that seems to vanish into thin excuses by the corrupt MSM. RNZ being one of them.
We’re being set up and are about to lose our AO/NZ to multi-billionaires ( And likely even richer) soon to be climate refugees cuing up in their super boats ( I can never spell yatchets ) to buy our AO/NZ then they’ll purge our AO/NZ of us by sending us to australia. Oh wait?
When a foul gaggle of politicians desperately try to sell us illogical, nonsensical bullshit via the sad rag that’s rnz then you should know, surely, that [they’re] up to no good.
@ Maori. For fucks sake don’t let the Treaty out of your sight.
@ Non Maori. For fucks sake don’t let Maori let the Treaty out of thier sight.
@ Primary industry Farmers. Wake the fuck up! The power is in your leathery hands so use them to choke-hold the now australian owned banks out then turn your attention to the traitorous federated farmers and their covert remote control mechanism, the dreaded national party.
I believe, in all honesty, that the chaos that’s on its way, that we’re being sold, is, in fact, a plan of attack. An art of war tactic. They’re coming for our country. They’re coming for our climate, the security distance affords us and our hearts and souls.
We need the fucking Crown with some proper military gear to come here and say fuck off at least until we get some iron clad assurances.
The people interviewed in that story are all “Glass half a percent full” people. Astounding levels of unwarranted optimism ignoring the damage that is continuingly and unnecessarily being felt by large swathes of the population. 0.02% increase means it’s going to get better for everyone one day? Fuck right off!
The Government of New Zealand has made a new tourism ad and it’s surprsingly honest and informative! …………….
….. the epic trilogy, The LandLord of the Rings in which a bunch of rich wankers form a government to steal from kiwis and give themselves tax-breaks on their investment properties ….. Starring Christopher Gollum ,,, Saruman Peters and his dipshit sidekick,,,,
And the Eye of Seymour.

While 1 million workers are either unemployed or underemployed the NZ economy will never improve ,no matter how low interest rates go .When 30% of the work force is not earning enough to survive to think we will have never ending growth is a pipe dream .The fact that for years the governments have propped up working people with subsidies instead of using that money to provide health ,housing and education would tell a stupid person we have been down the wrong path for decades .
The economy? “Tis but a scratch”
I see that RNZ is changing a face in the morning team but it won’t make much difference with the propaganda articles like this one which is not of any worth. At least there are TDB and other media players that allow freedom of expression about current events, unlike RNZ, which gets snotty if you send them information that doesn’t agree with what they publish.
One sign of global instability is the gold price.
Krugman had a few things to say about that back in the day. https://paulkrugman.substack.com/p/ingots-we-trust
