Hahahahahahahaha…
Christopher Luxon shrugs off criticism after being ranked 15th best minister by businesses
Prime Minister Christopher Luxon is shrugging off criticism by business leaders he’s performing poorly.
The New Zealand Herald’s Mood of the Boardroom has been released, with both the prime minister and finance minister out of the top-10 Cabinet ratings.
The survey is made up of responses from 150 chief executives and business leaders.
Luxon was ranked the 15th best minister in his own Cabinet. Finance Minister Nicola Willis ranked 13th.
…so the business Community of NZ have finally turned on Chris Luxon.
Delicious. Their tears taste amazing.
National rule for their donors, their deregulation agenda is aimed at their donors, they have nothing else outside of that and the experimental austerity that Willis has embarked upon has destroyed the economy and the businessmen are bleeding.
Luxon is in real trouble now, he’s cost rich men money, and rich men love their money more than they love their wives and children.
The pressure for him to leave now will be deafening, but the problem is the factions inside National are too compromised to work together.
WILLIS: She has created this economic crash, the chances she would be allowed to replace him is farcical, you can’t put the arsonist in charge of fighting the fire. She is likely to be demoted rather than succeed Luxon, especially if the economy gets worse and there is every likelihood that will now happen.
BISHOP: Fresh from his talking penguin debacle, Bishop is loathed inside National and most would rather eat their own hand than give Bishop the top job.
PENK: Is actually a genius and could win National back to power, but National’s backers only want crony capitalism and would never hand power to someone who would rule for the greater good.
STANFORD: Has so many skeletons in her closet, she would destroy the National Party in about 30 seconds after she was announced as leader.
BROWN: Actually believes he could do the job and wants it, everyone else thinks he’s a man-child who is out of his depth in Health.
UPSTON: Could end up being the compromise candidate between the factions.
MITCHELL: Doesn’t believe he’s smart enough to do the job, would simply be a puppet for Collins.
COLLINS: After her last disastrous time in power, allowing Satan himself to be leader would be preferable.
There is also the added problem that a leadership spill could trigger Winston or Seymour to leave the coalition and head towards a new election, so anyone daring to replace Luxon faces an immediate possibility of an election.
If you think shit is bad now, wait until Trump’s tariffs really do come on and impact the economy and no amount of mass immigration is going to save the Government.
The odds are Luxon will stay as leader, but we on the Left are all praying it could be Stanford.
Losing Luxon would be damaging, appointing Stanford would be suicide.

I do not think Labour shone in the poll either. no policy no direction.Plenty of time to reap the harvest of the hard calls the Coalition needed to make.
It’s a pity that they made dumb calls instead of hard calls then. Supermarkets and electricity prices would be 2 obvious items they could have transformed but they looked after corporate profits and punished the people instead. I don’t have much faith in Labour for transformative change which is why the Greens and TMP need to get enough support to make real positive changes.
Bonnie I can see where you are coming from regarding Labour. They completely f’d up the communication and messages around three waters because that was a better idea than the shit solutions from the Coalition now. All from the very wankers who went on about democracy, when they are all too often undemocratic.
They are turning on each other now, Willis is blaming John Key now, hilarious. She’s run out of excuses but plucked one from left or should I say, right field.
Trevor you are the right wing gift that keeps giving. Even when the right wing business round table are telling us this National coalition is taking us backwards, you state it will all work out in the end. It hasn’t and it won’t and you have also stated things are on the improve, the evidence is contrary.
yet somehow you manage to turn it back onto Labour( god you are boring) who aren’t even in government(but will be next year).
Satan is probably the best choice – that dude has charisma – Luxon looks like a week-old baozi with vegan filling.
Bishop looks like the kind of sad sausage roll left uneaten by an entire Labour Party conference.
Willis, having munted the economy is poised to retire to some other country and become a lady novelist.
And Simian Brown is the person most likely to suffer surgical neglect – with meshes left behind a distant second behind uncharted rectal insertions while he’s anaesthetized.
” STANFORD: Has so many skeletons in her closet, she would destroy the National Party in about 30 seconds after she was announced as leader ”
Tell your National MP to vote for Stanford. Just don’t tell them who told you to.
Business leaders like not being taxed but they like that less than losing customers and revenue. It looks like a problem they’ll need a new supplier to solve. What is Labours response to the RFQ?
” Luxon is in real trouble now, he’s cost rich men money, and rich men love their money more than they love their wives and children “.
New Zealand entitled business people are seriously part of the problem.
They all voted for one of their own.
Why is Bishop loathed in National? Was it the public desire for lower house prices? Whatever he really meant, it’s a very off brand message from a National MP. Luxon must have been mortified.
I actually heard he and McNulty on RNZ this morning and it sounded positively civil. Not agreeing but not trash talking each other either.
DGAF about what CEO’s think. They should stay in their lane and keep the eff out of politics. I’m fucking sick of how govt. panders to the private sector. set a framework and get business the fuck out of govt. and govt. the fuck out of free enterprise. all corporate leeches and hangers on should be purged from liberal democracy and held at a regulatory framework arms length
govt. out of business, business out of govt.
Looks like green and brown to turn the country around .We need to rebuild from the bottom up .Hell even Willis can see when Maori are doing well NZ will do well .The biggest growth in NZ right now is the Maori economy .The reason they are hated is because they are showing the colonists how poorly they have done with all of the stolen Maori land and other assets .Look what Maori have achieved in the last 20 years and is all going to double year on year very soon .
The list of replacements looks bloody awful eh .I once rated Stanford but she has shown her true colours with the current white wash of education and her lack of action with the abuse in care people which is being swept under the carpet .
Upston would be the most vile person to be PM she has a full blown hate for the less well off even after using those social services her self for years and now doing a Paula Bennett and doing her best to prevent anyone else from getting the same hand up she had .
No ,just boot the whole lot and let the green and brown turn NZ into the country it should be .
Looking at the photo opportunity, something Luxon has Often Taken Advantage of but NOT at His financial expense, he looks like someone from the eyes down as Being Dead From the Head Down..
The Pleasure Cruise at the Expense of the NZ Taxpayers with all it Perks of the job is what Keeps Him in the Job.
But other than that he has No Interest in being a PRIME MINISTER of a country He has NO INTEREST In.
He Would Much Rather be Seen Gallivanting Around the World and from One Photo Opportunity to Another Than Actually SOMEDAY be a Representative of a Country.
And so we must Praise Luxon for being the Perfect Representative of a Political Party that holds the NZ voters in Total Contempt and Hatred Outside of Election time. To be so contemptuous of those you want vote from must be a hard dish to swallow.
But then can we expect National to follow ethic?????
