Merciless blitz on starving Gaza — growing numbers

Victims 18 September – 19 September 2025:

33 more people killed and 146 wounded

Since dawn, Israeli air strikes, missile-launches and gunfire on homes, as well as medical and other facilities, have resulted in 33 dead and 146 wounded. Civil Defence crews retrieved another body from underneath bomb-damaged property, bringing the total number now killed in Gaza, since 7 October 2023, to at least 65,174. The total wounded is now at least 166,071. The daily average number of men, women and children killed in Gaza is at least 91 and, that of those injured, is more than 233. A UN report states that, as of 14 January 2025, around 70% of those killed in Gaza were women and children.

UN support for Palestine to participate in the UNGA 80th session

UN General Assembly has voted on a draft resolution allowing the State of Palestine to participate in the UNGA 80th session. In view of the US having denied visas to the Palestinian delegation, the Palestinian President will have to deliver his speech via video. The Resolution passed with 145 votes in favour, 5 against (including Israel and the US) and 6 abstentions.

West Bank

Since 24:00 on 7 October 2023, Israeli Occupation forces have been imposing a complete closure of the West Bank, preventing residents and other permit-holders from entering or leaving. The Israeli military also imposes severe and highly variable travel restrictions on all residents.

Israeli Army attack on home – arson and destruction – 1 taken prisoner: Ramallah – 02:00, Israeli Occupation forces raided the village of Surda, surrounding a house and firing anti-tank rifle grenades towards it, setting parts of the home on fire as well as setting fire to and destroying a family motor vehicle. One resident was taken prisoner.

Israeli Army attacks – refugee camp: Jenin – Israeli forces continued their storming, firing live ammunition, of the city and its refugee camp.

Israeli Army attacks – home invasions – in refugee camps: Tulkarem – the Israeli Army, firing live ammunition, continue to storm the city as well as the Tulkarem and Nur Shams refugee camps, invading and occupying homes.

Israeli Army attack – 1 wounded: Qalqiliya – 05:10, Israeli troops, firing live ammunition and stun grenades, stormed the city, wounding a resident: Bassam Fouad Mustafa Jabara.

Israeli Army attack: Jericho – 16:40, armed settlers entered the al-Auja Waterfall area and opened indiscriminate fire.

Home invasions and beatings-up: Jenin – 22:10–00:35, Israeli Occupation forces raided the town of Araba and searched a number of houses, severely beating-up and hospitalising a news reporter and a doctor.

Home invasion: Tubas – 21:50, Israeli forces raided the al-Far’a refugee camp and searched a home.

Home invasion and demolition: Nablus – 10:10, the Israeli Army demolished a house, in the village of Beit Dajan.

Home invasions – child beaten–up and another resident injured in refugee camp: Bethlehem – 23:05–00:40, Israeli troops, firing stun grenades, stormed the Deheishe refugee camp and invaded a number of homes, beating–up a 15-year-old boy, Muhammad Khalil Ja’wi, and injuring another resident: Zakaria Raafat Zakaria Abu Faraj.

Home invasions and demolition: Hebron – the Israeli military demolished two homes in al-Dhahiriya, rendering homeless twelve former residents.
