Israel has committed genocide in Gaza, UN commission of inquiry says

A United Nations commission of inquiry says Israel has committed genocide against Palestinians in Gaza.

A new report says there are reasonable grounds to conclude that four of the five genocidal acts defined under international law have been carried out since the start of the war with Hamas in 2023: killing members of a group, causing them serious bodily and mental harm, deliberately inflicting conditions calculated to destroy the group, and preventing births.

It cites statements by Israeli leaders, and the pattern of conduct by Israeli forces, as evidence of genocidal intent.

Israel’s foreign ministry said it categorically rejected the report, denouncing it as “distorted and false”.

To date Zionist apologists have played this game of semantics, attacking the use of the term Genocide to describe the disproportionate war crimes they have committed and incredulously claiming anyone using the term Genocide to describe what they are doing is anti-semitic because since the Holocaust, that’s ‘their’ word.

Well, that game is up…

  3. Ban all Rocket Lab launches of satellites used for Israeli reconnaissance over Gaza
  4. Suspend all bilateral agreements with Israel; movie co-production, overflight agreement and technological cooperation
  5. Stop remittances going to Israel, such as funds for the racist Jewish National Fund
  6. Cut scientific, academic, sport and cultural ties with the State of Israel
  7. Sell all New Zealand’s Superfund investments in Israeli companies
  8. Vote to suspend Israeli membership of the United Nations for not withdrawing from all the Occupied Palestinian Territory
  9. Cease approving Israeli munitions transporter ZIM Shipping using our ports
  10. Join the case against Israeli genocide in the International Court of Justice

This month, the Holocaust Centre of NZ, which receives more than a hundred thousand dollars in taxpayer funding every year because they’re just so put upon, such vulnerable victims, has announced that you are antisemitic if you criticize the Gaza genocide, and that the Palestinians deserve it, anyway.

    A number of the board members putting out this disgusting statement denying the worst genocide of our lifetime, like Deborah Hart and Giacomo Lichtner, suck at the taxpayer teat directly themselves. They should not be surprised if there are consequences for their attacks on those who oppose ‘israel’ slaughtering children for laughs.

    • Yes Deborah Hart was on Wallace Chapman’s “ The panel” (RNZ) last night & when asked if she would toot in support of the priests outside Willis’s office..she replied no she would hang a cardboard sign out the window …release the hostages etc…no mention of the Palestinian hostages
      My reaction was, it’s kinda ironic that the chair of the Holocaust Centre could not see a Holocaust occurring right before our eyes live in real time on TV!
      The previous generation could be forgiven for not knowing what happened until after the event.
      It appears that Nazis have shown the Zionist the way!

  3. In December 2023, Labour Party leader Chris Hipkins said; “the Labour Party’s position remains that it is for the relevant international bodies to determine whether actions by Israel are within the constraints of international law.”
    Now that the UN has finally determined that Israel is committing genocide in Gaza; Will the New Zealand Labour Party reverse their previous position that Israel is not committing Genocide in Gaza, and lead the other opposition parties in putting pressure on the government to also declare that genocide is being committed in Gaza?

    Once a government recognises a genocide is being committed, they are legally bound to act to prevent and punish it to the best of their ability.

    In Ireland, the opposition parties united to put pressure on the Irish government to declare that Israel was committing genocide in Gaza. The united Irish opposition parties forced a vote on the floor of the Irish parliament, for parliament to declare a genocide is being committed.
    Not wanting to be on the permanent record as genocide deniers, government opponents of the opposition bill, made sure that they weren’t in the house when the vote was taken, and the motion was carried.

    If the Labour Party would give up their genocide denial, we could do that here.

    In light of the fact that the UN has now determined that genocide is being committed in Gaza, Will Chris Hipkins announce that he is reversing the Labour Party’s previous position that genocide is not being committed in Gaza to declare that the Labour Party’s position is that there is a genocide being committed in Gaza, and that the Labour Party will be joining with the Greens and Te Pati Maori to demand the government adopt that same position.

  4. In practical action campaigns, different factions lay aside their differences to come together to achieve a common aim.

    If the opposition parties can unite to put pressure the government to recognise that genocide is being commited in Gaza.

    It will make the connections and lay be the basis for them to work together to get rid of this government.

Remember apartheid Israel decorated a nazi who was already a decorated nazi for the SS (Otto Skorzeny) and these particular Jews living in Palestine didn’t learn these atrocities from the nazi in WW2 they were taught by the British particularly a Major General Orde Charles Wingate, who was a senior British Army officer training Jewish terrorist groups Haganah, Palmach, Stern Gang this was a British imperialist project

    Just as all genocides begin with words, all genocides end with words.

    To end the genocide in Gaza first he must name it.

    The reason that our political leaders are reluctant to use the word ‘genocide’ because if they did, they would then be legally obligated as signatories to the Genocide Convention to do something to stop it.

    By not naming it, they think that they can get away with doing nothing to stop it.

    History will judge them as low cowards, complicit in genocide.
