This is the 1,000th edition of Nick’s Kōrero, and I’d like to start by thanking all those who have supported this newsletter. You guys are the best, and I will always be grateful that you have enabled me to do this.
When I wrote the first edition on New Year’s Day 2022, I did not expect that almost four years later, and now 1,000 editions in, I’d still be going. The fact that I am is down to your generosity in subscribing and the supportive community that has developed.
It’s definitely been a game of two halves.
For the first two years, we had a Labour government, and I wrote a lot about Covid and the deteriorating reaction to Jacinda Ardern, which ultimately caused her to call time on her Prime Ministership.
That was devastating to see the best Prime Minister of my lifetime, and a government that had put people ahead of profits, hounded from office.

Vote them out New Zealand
Audrey Young wrote an article this morning which clearly left the impression our decision about Palestinian Statehood was up to Winston Peters in a battle with Davy Boy while LuxCon was just a laughing stock who could say whatever he liked – but just naff off baldy – cos NZ First and Act run this joint now – and these two Titans will sort this one out thanks.
It’s all about the selected decision making process and this decision is not about a parliamentary vote – which would reflect the majority representation in this democracy – but instead – this decision is going to be made inside a cabinet meeting today – reflecting how low we have sunken as Act and NZ First duke out what to do – with only 14% of the vote between them.
The failure of LuxCon to lead and National to grow a spine has reduced this country to having these absolute toss pots dehumanise this country’s humanity for it’s fellow humans – and drag us all down to the ground where we choose something acceptable to their heartless constituencies.
Audrey detailed some options and speculated on the most likely choice but whatever is paraded as our position at the post cabinet press conference this afternoon – it won’t be the final word and the decision will be kept fluid in case Winston discovers there’s some political risk or gain to be made when he attends the UN General Assembly in New York next weekend.
Keeping his cards close to his selfish chest this country will be denied a position until it suits Mr Peters and he’s good and ready or he’ll bark at you like an angry fist shaker from a by gone era who somehow holds all our cards again.
Audrey festered how sentiment had changed and so blown by votes and public opinion – these politicians need to now adapt and evolve from past bullshit positions in order to remain in good grace as we get on with ignoring this issue again.
The argument to annihilate Palestine once and for all has two sides apparently – one arguing this will result in peace and the other saying there will never be peace down that road.
Davy Boy and Winston are in the ring while LuxCon sits in the front row beside the judges as media waves a sign above its head, and circles in the spotlight – what round is coming up.
The bell will ring and the fighters will come out of their corners both wearing United States and Zionist colours – both want a fair fight may the same side win.
It’s enough to make you spit on the ground cos this is a circus show and these decisions should have all been made clearly and strongly months ago by all of the parliament – but here we go – snivelling and hiding and playing out a game in a shuffling dance of cowardice and selfishness like amoral laggards captured by a demented inhumane minority.
This is not even about sanctions and calling out a Genocide – that is not even on the menu.
No – not even up for discussion – because we have sunk so low – that the fury in the pit of decent folk’s hearts is gonna blow soon – as media hurry on like orcs fleeing the rising sun.

“From champs to chumps” and “Can the All Blacks recover to face the Aussies?” are the NZ media’s main concerns – but only while they are not spotlighting and highlighting what Brian Tamaki ( The Grand Eftpostle ) is up to – or endlessly bashing TPM / Labour, or pretending an old poll from July 25 supporting Wayne Brown to win – proves he is a shoe-in today in mid September 25.

Seriously this place has gone to the right wing dawgs with a toothless commercial media clapping this on – but what a great turnout on Saturday and this morning – aerial photography from drone footage – shows the sheer size of the protest.
New Zealanders want this Government to sanction Israel – where is the Verian Poll, or the RNZ Reid Research Poll, or the Fresh Water Strategy Poll on that question?

What about that?

Today’s secret cabinet decision on Palestinian Statehood is a maker of shame for New Zealand – and for its media.
The Spines in this place – all left at the airport – 201 of them every day – and they are the children and brains and skills who would be stupid to come back under these settings – as this iteration of our media pray for an aggregate number to improve this quarter – like they are sniffing the GDP winds and examining tea leaves in the bottom of retail data – but closing the lid on Genocide.
As you can probably tell I am not impressed with the focus and bread and circuses – as we are sold that this Government is still our best bet – by stooges planted in media – when it does not get much worse than this.
Power Bills, rates bills, water bills, grocery bills, house prices, low pay, $44,000 for a helicopter ride, 10,000 jobs gone in three months, 18,000 jobs down in Construction, 73,400 good byes at the airport, exploding homelessness, the price of butter, $12.8 Billion in pay equity theft from 180,000 low paid women, teachers, nurses, hospitals – all underpaid, underfunded, privatisations, secrecy over prices, deregulations, attacks on Te Tiriti, on Māori, Failed Boot Camps, 500 new police by November NOT, developing conservation land, riding over local voices, big Central waving a stick, – and we stay silent on Genocide…
I think we have all had a gutsful of this on an ongoing basis.
They’ll try to tell us TPM and Labour cannot work together so we must not change this Government…but how does that now sound in context?
That’s right it’s pure fear mongering and a load of extreme rubbish.
This is a one term Government in all of its actions and policies and we must boot them out as fast as possible.
Vote for a Labour, Green and TPM Government and let’s get some leadership and self respect and humanity back into the Governance of this country !!!
