I fucking hate the gated community of Stuff, but think it’s an obligation to read widely.

I am forever having issues just trying to enter the bloody site to read it.

It’s forever logging me out, forever forgetting my password.

How can logging into Stuff to read what they pass off as journalism be so difficult?

  1. Glad I’ve never tried. I read the headline, the first couple of sentences and guess the rest. That’s the best method because I know full well that what they are trying to pass off as journalism, is mainly guesswork.
Same for the Herald. Guesswork or hapless opinion.
How the mighty have fallen and it saves money in this cost of living crisis.

  2. Well make another effort to go yo Stuff today. They have pissed off the police commissioner by releasing raw audio of police radio communications leading up to the shooting of Philips. Hugely interesting. Includes the first officer on scene shouting “shots fired, shots fired”

  3. I’ll never understand this compulsion to annoy your readers/customers until they give up and walk away. If you’re actively irritating me with incessant nag screens, I’m not inclined to think fondly of you, let alone give you my e-mail address and/or a donation. I spend most of my time on RNZ these days.

    • The ‘uBlock Origin’ adblocker (now best used with the Firefox web browser) or the Brave web browser (built in adblocker) takes care of most of these nag screens.

For everything else, archive.is will generally get you past a nag screen.
