Merciless blitz on starving Gaza — growing numbers

68 more people killed and 362 wounded
Since dawn, Israeli air strikes, missile launches and gunfire on homes, as well as medical and other facilities, have resulted in 68 killed and 362 wounded. Civil Defence crews retrieved eight more bodies from underneath bomb-damaged property, bringing the total number now killed in Gaza, since 7 October 2023, to at least 64,368. The total wounded is now at least 162,367. The daily average number of men, women and children killed in Gaza is at least 91 and, that of those injured, is more than 231. A UN report states that, as of 14 January 2025, around 70% of those killed in Gaza were women and children.
Furtive UK Government suppressing concern over arms supplies to Israel
A Foreign Office diplomat, Mark Smith, has quit over the UK’s refusal to stop selling arms to Israel, having been told, among other things, to play down the extent of civilian casualties. Speaking at an unofficial inquiry probing into alleged UK complicity in Israeli war crimes, Smithnoted that Senior Directors had told him to “make the situation look less bad.” Read whole article: https://share.google/

Home invasion and forced personal demolition: Jerusalem – the Israeli Occupation forced a resident, Abdullah Hawas, to destroy two homes in his apartment building at the Shuafat refugee camp – or otherwise be forced to pay an extortionate sum to the Israeli Occupation demolition squads, who would be sent in to do it.

Occupation settler invasion – 8 injured – stabbings – baby pepper-sprayed: Hebron – morning, Israeli settlers raided the Khallet al-Daba area in Yatta, invading homes and attacking residents with sharp-bladed weapons and pepper-spray. Eight people were injured, one of them a three-month-old baby girl who was suffocated by pepper-spray. Two elderly residents, Ali al-Dabbasah and his wife, Amna, suffered fractures and head injuries. Another couple were also attacked, with the husband, Abbas al-Dabbasah suffering knife wounds and his wife, fractures and bruising. In addition, their two sons, Qutaiba and Izz al-Din, also suffered stab wounds and bruising, along with another person: Hani al-Dabbasah. The settlers also destroyed the contents of people’s homes, including water tanks and the village’s solar electricity supply.
