Public Service Minister Judith Collins caused a stir last week when she claimed the average secondary teacher with a decade of experience was paid $147,000.
She later admitted she was wrong, but still felt teachers were on a high salary, and opposed the decision by the Post Primary Teachers Association (PPTA) to strike following six days of bargaining with the Government.

This whole government is full of liars and bull shit .Take no boats thinking she can solve food prices by building more multi million dollar super markets .The simple answer is to force the wholesalers to sell to all retailers at the same price the big boys get .That way there are suddenly 100s more outlets competing on an even playing field.I know that sounds simplistic but think about it .No need to spend billions building new supermarkets so massive cost savings that are not passed onto the consumer for a start .And then prices would be similar across the whole country .Places like Te Kuiti would be paying the same price as Hamilton instead of the current 15% more .There is no way Costco or Aldi are going to build in small town NZ is there .Imagine being able to shop at the local food store instead of having to drive 10 km to get food for dinner or when visitors turn up unexpectedly .
