98 more killed and 1,079 wounded
Since dawn, Israeli air strikes, missile launches and gunfire on homes, as well as medical and other facilities, have resulted in 98 dead and 1,079 wounded. Civil Defence crews retrieved 15 more bodies from underneath bomb-damaged property, bringing the total number now killed in Gaza, since 7 October 2023, to at least 60,430. The total wounded is now at least 148,722. The daily average number of men, women and children killed in Gaza is at least 91 and, that of those injured, is more than 223. A UN report states that, as of 14 January 2025, around 70% of those killed in Gaza were women and children.
‘I witnessed war crimes’ in Gaza, former worker at GHF aid site tells BBC
A retired US Special Forces Officer has revealed to the BBC why he resigned from his work with US- and Israel-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) aid distribution centres.
“I witnessed the Israeli Defence Forces shooting at the crowds of Palestinians,” Anthony Aguilar told the BBC. He added that, in his entire career, he has never witnessed such a level of “brutality and use of indiscriminate and unnecessary force against a civilian population, an unarmed, starving population”. https://share.google/
